Plant Guide for Nervous Beginners
I've been thinking back to how all of this started. If you ask anyone who knows me well, they'd tell you that it's as if it all happened overnight. Keeping in mind that I had never touched a plant in my life and hardly ever picked even wild flowers. And then suddenly I was the person surrounded by plants (the 'plant' lady), and no window ledge was left empty. It kind of all started three years back - I wasn't in a very good place then, and had bought my first jade plant to fill in the void. But with the wrong kind of intention, half the jade deteriorated, and so did the heavy relationships that held me. It was so natural for me to direct my attention to the only thing that I had the ability to keep alive. And with one, brought with it others - not all of which have lived, but they are so incredibly forgiving with second chances.
In the next few weeks as we slowly make our way into spring, I will be sharing with you tips and tricks to managing plants as a newbie! From picking out your first plant, to the types of pots to use, and tips and tricks I have learned through making tons of mistakes. These will be illustration-filled step by step processes, and well as mini photo shoots to show you how - anything to calm your nerves! :-) J-Dubs
