My fucking Wacom tablet has been having issues for WEEKS and istfg idk what to do
Gang does anyone know how to deal with:
- Unsupported device message, even though I'm on the latest driver
- The tablet connecting fine via Bluetooth, but not actually working until I restart my whole ass computer
This is on the Wacom intuos pro btw
Also I HAVE contacted wacom help centre and they're still trying to get more info on what's happening and I'm just. So fed up, man.
I love how Wacom is like the only company that is willing to make all their drawing tablets just work natively on Linux. Gaomon just began releasing Linux drivers for their tablets within the last year-ish, and because I draw on a 5 year old Gaomon tablet I downloaded their new drivers.
Explain to me why installing Gaomon’s official Linux drivers for tablet made it work worse?
Does Wacom have a patent on software that just works or something?
LET ME DRAW MY FREAKY FUCKING CREATURES
Forgot to bring my mouse and playing with the trackpad isn’t exactly the easiest (at least on the laptop I have), so I wanted to quickly try hooking up my Wacom Intuos S.
Since the touch gestures on mine barely work, I had to put the mouse sensitivity all the way down to 1 so I didn’t endlessly spin when moving the pen by a few millimeters, though I can imagine bumping it up to 6 or slightly higher if I get more into it, and bind the right-click to one of the express keys as it oddly wasn’t working when binded to the pen. The rest I can still use on my keyboard with my other hand.
Quickly found that having the right-click this way made it so that I had to fully let go of the pen so that it could interact at all, making it a bit janky when I need to place, pick up something, use projectiles, or whatever else needs a right-click.
It’d be funny to set it up in a way where I could play with it better, but I think I’d like to go back to the trackpad for now.
Practice sketches of my dumb rabbit (I love him, he does not agree)
Turns out that I'll just be shit at drawing while learning to use this wacom, the price is pay to learn 😮💨
SAD ARTFIGHT NEWS: HEAR YE HEAR YE
Local team comedy artist gets hate-crimed by Wacom personally! How?
Because they are not supporting my 2019 tablet anymore 💔😭
A friend of mine might be giving me an old tablet from I think Gaomon they doesn’t use tho if they has it still
okay people who have a wacom intuos (preferably wired small) how long did it last/ how long have you had it for? we need to at least get a new pen and we're not sure should we just get a new tablet since the price difference is only $10 or so, so if ours could be reaching the end of its lifespan i would like to know
