I would like to point out that this isn't my complete original work and I got inspiration from the wonderful @ kpopfanfictrash's fanfic Blackjack. Go check it out it's a great read. Anyways without further ado let's begin. ♡
I couldn't stay away from her intoxicating words. The lies she would spin on her tongue captivated me, but I knew of course that they were indeed deception. Nonetheless, I was enthralled by the untruths spoken. She, herself, a mistress if deceit and I, her willful serf.
She twisted my being and broke it a thousand times over. Soon my words were no longer the truth. Each word was like a dose of poison that left a bitter taste in my mouth. They wouldn't stop either; they spewed up like vomit breaking through my loose lips. I have hurt people with these, what I like to call, white lies and it doesn't even bother me.
It doesn't hurt me knowing that I possibly ruined someone's life just by saying "small" fibs. She didn't care when she destroyed my life so why should I feel empathetic for those I hurt? The scars she left will never be unremembered. I can almost still feel the burns and stings of cigarette butts and her hand striking across my face. It was odd when she wouldn't use her hand but instead a belt. I always thought she just enjoyed the feeling of her hand across my skin.
Although, when I was misbehaving particularly bad, she would whip me till I bled. That was something her hand couldn't do, and she watched as I curled up bleeding and sobbing. When I turned 15, I couldn't take it anymore. I waited until she left and finally made my escape. I packed up whatever I could money, some clothes, and a bit of food. I didn't even give the place one last look before I left. I walked out into the cold, rainy air and took a deep breath. I'm free.
I walked for what seemed like hours until I couldn't anymore. I fell to the ground, crying softly and realizing I had no one. I heard footsteps from behind me. I thought for a split second that maybe this was the end; it wasn't such a bad thought. There wasn't much to live for so it wouldn't be so bad. I was practically begging for it to be some guy that just wanted to prey on the innocent and defenseless. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I didn't even jump; I just closed my eyes and waited for something to happen.
"Hey, kid you doin all right? The man's voice was soft and mellow. I didn't respond, but he kept talking to me.
"It's pretty late for someone like you to be out. Where're your parents?" I turned around looked him directly in the eyes and said, "Gone." My eyes were still puffy from tears, and I could tell the man was feeling empathetic towards me. The look in his eyes was almost blank. I couldn't read him.
He spoke again, "I'm sorry to hear that. Mine are gone too."
"What's your name? My name is Jin." I wiped away some tears and sniffled into my sleeve. "J-Jungkook." Jin smiled.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Jungkook. Do you have a place to go? Any other family?" I shook my head.
"Hmm, well I can change that." He extended his hand out to me. "I promise you'll have a better life and a new family." He smiled again. I took his hand and started my new life as a member of Bangtan.
Author's note: This is literally my first fanfic ever and I tried to write it to the best of my ability. I know I still have much to learn about writing and I promise I'll get better. Thank you for taking the time to read. ♡
