Gareth Halliday Collage Art
Gareth Halliday aka @mozzplast is an emerging British collage artist.
His unorthodox career has taken an intriguing path since he graduated from the University of Northampton in 2000 with a degree in Visual Arts. After losing faith in the commercial art community the artist removed his work from the public eye and began working as a full-time postman, dabbling with the idea of developing personal projects on the side. It wasn’t until 2009 and years of reoccurring nightmares of arriving at his own exhibition to find nothing but one, lonely second-class postage stamp on display that Halliday decided to pursue creating art again.
Talking about his work, Halliday denotes:
My work tries to capture and handle the mediated depictions of reality that are thrown at us from the mass media. Through the process of collecting and reassembling found and forgotten images I hope to create new compositions which are often subjective, as my own interpretations of the world around me. via

You’re probably wondering what is Minuscule? The answer is here and then here.
Paris turned out the lights as a sign of mourning, but the rest of the world lit them again.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was officially sworn in on November 4th, 2015, gives a very simple answer as to why he decided to have 15 men and 15 women on his cabinet.
I thought this was a scene from a TV show….
me, if i talk: i'm being so annoying and everybody hates me and thinks i'm weird
me, if i don't talk: i'm being so weird and distant and everybody hates me and thinks i'm weird
a concept: me, in bed with many blankets, the windows are frosted but i am toasty, my homework complete and i fully understand the material
This made me so happy. Never give up and follow your dreams.
The SciShow Team was very busy today…everyone has been very excited…we made some posters and a shirt :-)
These are on pre-order here if you’re into it.

writing adult emails is awful
its like
hi [name of person],
this formatting is making me uncomfortable but I have to tell you something / ask you something that is vital to my career as a student.
I re-read and edited that sentence for an hour, but you’ll probably just glance over it for half a second.
thanks!

I have a stock format and structure I use.
Dear Person I am Writing To:
This is an optional sentence introducing who I am and work for, included if the addressee has never corresponded with me before. The second optional sentence reminds the person where we met, if relevant. This sentence states the purpose of the email.
This optional paragraph describes in more detail what’s needed. This sentence discusses relevant information like how soon an answer is needed, what kind of an answer is needed, and any information that the other person might find useful. If there’s a lot of information, it’s a good idea to separate this paragraph into two or three paragraphs to avoid having a Wall of Text.
If a description paragraph was used, close with a restatement of the initial request, in case the addressee ignored the opening paragraph.
This sentence is just a platitude (usually thanking them for their time) because people think I’m standoffish, unreasonably demanding, or cold if it’s not included.
Closing salutation,
Signature.
People always ask me how I can fire off work emails so quickly. Nobody has figured out yet that it’s the same email with the details changed as needed.

Lunar Eclipse by Paweł Uchorczak
Pawel has published not only one picture but an interesting montage of memorable evening. As he writes, long time could not decide where to put the camera, but ultimately the choice fell on Mount St. Anna near Opole. The sky was clear, but still it was not easy. With the camera sitting there … 5 hours.
Photographer explains that combined 30 shots of the moon in one. Photos snapping every 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, it was not without light tweaking, because - as explained - the moon was not so big, in fact, but increased it to better show all the way.
Photo triggered big applause on the Internet and was shared more than 19 thousand times and received almost 99 thousand “Likes.” via
Pawel Uchorczak, native from Opole, Poland. His adventure with photography began in 2007, since then trying to increase the level of its work.

mr man gives us the facts
Briny conditions keep it from freezing. Could life still be there today?
We finally have a firm answer to one of the biggest mysteries of Mars. Not only did the Red Planet have water in the past, but it has it right now, flowing in a briny mix that keeps it from freezing. This confirms decades of observations.
In an article published in Nature Geoscience, a team lead by Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology confirms that seasonal flows in mountainous regions of the planet correspond with the presence of briny water. The seasonal flows were first noticed in 2010, with water the strongest suspect. Spectral observations of season data from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter indicate the presence of hydrated salts on the surface, or water mixing with a thick brine of salts.
