When you’re talking to someone on the internet and they mention they have a dog

This last July 4th, Lindsay and I had to say goodbye to our chocolate Labrador, Sadie. Lindsay has had her since she was 2 years old. And throughout the years she has survived many hardships, including getting hit by a car and surviving with the happiest dog grin I've known. I didn't know her as long as Lindsay did. I met her when she was about 10 or 11 years old, but even then she was so sweet. She wanted to play all the time. You threw a toy for her and there was no stopping her. It's like she'd never get tired. She wasn't that smart when I knew her ( Lindsay says she was super smart before the accident) but dammit, she was the sweetest dog on Earth. Her last few days were the hardest on me. You can sort of see it in thier eyes that they are in pain and ready to go. We tried medication, but she only got worse. I was hoping that she'd make it okay, but some small part of me knew it was time... It was not easy, but we helped her cross the rainbow bridge today and I only hope it's as beautiful as Lindsay described: full of color she couldn't see in life as a dog. With bacon and toys everywhere. So here's to Sadie.
