Omg, you guys don't have any idea of how happy i am seeing Rayman finally being Ubisoft's mascot again after many years. I feel like this is the moment of the Rayman fandom history and im so proud for being a Rayman fan since i was 11 years old (2011) !!!
New to Rayman? Here's a brush-up on our hero!
This interview that came out yesterday is the most complete ever about Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. There's plenty of new input shared by key devs that worked in the game back then.
Rayman 3 might not be my favourite entry in the series but I still praise it for some good ideas (like the Knaaren race and lore around them) that enriched the francophone oniric universe that this franchise represents. A must-watch for all Rayman fans regardless your position about the third game!

I love the Magician. His animations are so lively. The Rayman 1 iteration of him is infinitely better than the Origins Teensie villain that replaced him.

Love this animation, and love this look of Rayman.

Yo, so no clue if you're aware of this, but there's a (supposedly) official comic that was made to advertise Rayman 3. It was cancelled and is unfinished, but this is what we got out of it He's just a little guy here!
There's also an inked version of the first page, but I can't seem to find it. :(
WAIT IT’S OFFICIAL!?
OOUUUGGHHHH SUPERB!!! He looks real friendly :]]] I am personally. A big fan of the whistling panel.
An animation of Rayman never seen online since 2001!
Hi everyone, I made a great discovery! While rummaging through my box of Rayman Rush, I noticed that the Yamakasi movie had a collector edition which contains a ton of Rayman goodies, and notably an animation that has never been shared online since 2001!
That's right, this is Rayman and Globox in their Rayman M / Arena versions doing some funny flips on a roof, Yamakasi-style!
The CD-ROM from the box set also contains:
-A demo of Rayman 2 The Great Escape.
-Two Rayman M wallpapers of Rayman and Tily.
-A Rayman M screensaver.
-A Rayman M theme, with five cursors, six sounds, an icon library (and the Rayman background again).
-A French trailer of Rayman M, which you can also watch below!
It also contains an executable that can launch all of those features, though some may not work correctly on modern devices.
Here's what the collector set looks like! Luckily, despite the obvious age of the box, the discs were in mint condition thanks to its caring previous owner! :)
All of this has been archived!

It's crazy to think that this was lying right under our noses for the past 24 years! I was genuinely believing that such a thing must have been shared many times on the Internet since 2001, but little to no one even knew about any Rayman/Yamakasi collab despite some releases of Rayman M and Rush promoting it! :0
If you ever think you may have found something rare, please look it up and share it if it's not already online, so many media get forgotten despite some of them being pretty easily available for decades!
I hope this nostalgic discovery brought you a smile, and have a fantastic day! :)

Rayman on the PlayStation: A Timeless Classic That Still Inspires
When it comes to iconic platformers, most people instantly think of Mario or Sonic. But in 1995, a new hero burst onto the scene with colorful charm, hand-drawn beauty, and a unique personality that would go on to define Ubisoft for decades. His name was Rayman, and his first adventure on the PlayStation remains one of the most visually striking and challenging platformers of its era.
The Birth of a Limbless Legend
Rayman’s design was unlike anything else in gaming at the time. With floating hands, feet, and a giant smile, he had an instantly recognizable look that stood out against the crowded platformer genre. While many games of the nineties relied on mascots with “attitude,” Rayman was more whimsical, leaning on creativity, artistry, and humor to build his identity.
The PlayStation’s hardware gave Ubisoft the ability to deliver fluid animations and lush environments that made the game feel more like a living cartoon than a typical side-scroller. From vibrant forests to surreal musical landscapes, every level was crafted with care and imagination.
Difficulty That Demanded Dedication
Despite its colorful and charming look, Rayman was no walk in the park. Players quickly discovered that beneath the beautiful presentation was a game that tested precision, timing, and patience. Enemies were tricky, platforming sections required pinpoint accuracy, and the later levels pushed even veteran gamers to their limits.
That balance of charm and challenge gave Rayman a reputation as one of the tougher platformers on the PlayStation. For many players, beating the game felt like a true accomplishment.
A Legacy That Still Lives On
Rayman’s first outing laid the foundation for a series that has spanned multiple generations, from 3D explorations to modern masterpieces like Rayman Legends. What began as a bold experiment in animation and design has grown into a franchise celebrated for its creativity and artistry.
Even today, retro fans revisit the original PlayStation release to experience its magic all over again. The game still looks incredible, and the difficulty ensures it remains as rewarding as ever.

Final Thoughts
Rayman may not have reached the same mainstream recognition as Mario or Sonic, but for many players, he represents the best of what the nineties had to offer. Creativity, artistry, and a willingness to challenge players defined his first adventure, and that spirit continues to inspire platformers to this day.
