Hey guys. My name is Lori. I am from Peru and, sadly my country is having a really hard time right now. It’s the hottest summer we’ve had in decades and rain pours like never before and rivers have been rising and it’s causing flooding and mudslides in rural and urban areas of Peru, especially in the north area of the country. Thousands of houses, animals and people have been affected by this natural disasters. Our infrastructure is not prepared for this kind of weather. The saddest part, this is mostly affecting the poorest people. In the places a little more far away from the rivers, we haven’t had water for days and in some places no electricity as well, and even supermarkets have ran out of bottled water. Highways are flooded too and it’s difficult to transfer from one place to another. Clases have been also cancelled. Please, if you could donate even $1 to help people out it would mean the world. Guys, my country, Peru, is going through a difficult time right now. I haven’t seen much in international media so that’s why I’m sharing this with you. My city, Trujillo, along with many other cities is Peru are suffering from El Niño phenomenon. From Lima in the center all the way to Ecuador are been hit by heavy rain… Many cities are flooded… We’ve had three mudslides in my city today. The images from other areas are way worse. People has died drowned and in accidents trying to get home.. farmers have lost everything, people has no water and electricity in many areas even the capital Lima has little to no water. I’ve seen some embassies here helping otherwise I haven’t seen much coverage of this even though it has been happening for days now. Peruvians are working together to get through this and I’m sure we will come out stronger from this. Keep us in your prayers.
Hi dear tumblr, it’d been a long time since I wrote in this site. So, many thing have changed.
Peru:
Well, I live in Peru. We’re having a bad moment right now. Lots of people have lost their houses because of the floods. We don’t have water since 5 days ago, and the situation is terrible. I volunteered today and it was so much work for few people. I hope everything will be ok the next week.
personal life:
I’m single now. The kind of relationshio that I have with green eyes boy would have never worked, so I finished it for many reasons: he was going out with a girl one week after our final broke up, so when he told me about her I cried a lot that night. Other reason was the he didn’t like me anymore and he just wanna have sex, so it hurt a lot.
We don’t talk anymore and I think it’d be easier for me to forget him. Yes, I miss him, the way he used to touch me or when we had sex but nothing else. He wasn’t good for me. Maybe we can be friends but not now.
I was going out with other friends. Meeting new people is the best way to feel comfotable with yourself. So, I’ve been doing it. And, do you remember Enrique? he’s a super cool guy and I like to being his friend, we talk everyday about everything! And Andre is coming back the next week, yaaaaas
One last thing, I went to a countryside house with the cool squad and they’re being bad to me. What the hell, it makes me furious when people think that they can be rude to me just for fun. So, I decided to cancel our trip to the beach because I can’t hold that shit.
job life:
In other news, I’ve been working in a magazine called “Caretas”. It’s one of the best magazines on journalism in my country. But, my only two friends in that place decided to give up so I’m alone in the office. It’s pretty sad because I miss them so much :(. And, I don’t know when I’m leaving.
I applied for other job in other magazine, so I’m waiting for the news. Please dear god, take me to that job! the place is very cool and they always talk about culture, books, movies, etc.
The next week is my period and I fuckin’ afraid of what would happen because and i’m so sensitive with everything.
