Ok just recently found your blog, and I absolutely adore your designs of the jsab characters(especially the hero's, I like their names) but I have been trying to find cube in your au and I just cannot find any(so hard), also question how would the shapes(mainly the hero's) possibly react to a human?

Cube's name in the Oeuvre AU is 'Saro' and you should be able to find their design somewhere in the #my art tag. but I SO have adhd so sometimes I forget to tag things.

ngl when it comes to meeting a human, the first thought that most shapes would prolly have is "Where's your tail?" bc shapes do generally have a humanoid shape, but also are so varied that the only weird thing sthey'd prolly think about a human would be that they don't have a tail, all of their limb parts are fully attatched and that they are plantigrade instead of digitigrade. But the lack of tail is going to be more obvious to them. Once it's known that no, that was not a injury of some kind they'd prolly just shrug it off.

Every so often I remember how much I love JSAB and draw these critters again. Close ups and design breakdown below!

My biggest goal for these designs was imagining how to design everyone in a way that could fit a 3D space. For the heroes it was fairly simple, and I added wings for fun! They have a slight glow, and Green’s wings are actually a concave pentagon!

Big Cube’s design is specifically meant to represent how she looks after the story’s main events. Instead of her previous cube hands, they been replaced with some big clampers. She’s also been left with a scar (that replaces her old tear) and a gear brand on her head. She’s doing good though! Healing with her friends and learning to adjust after the trauma

Pirate ship was probably my favorite to redesign! I like the idea of him having two regular eyes, but putting eyepatches on each side to complete the pirate look. On land, he uses his oars to crawl around

Helicopter went through the fewest changes. I just stylized her wing blades to look more like a bow, and made her hands more visibly similar to wheels. She also has compound eyes (like a dragonfly) and a little “window” pattern on her side!

And finally, a little doodle of everyone flying together!

I just saw an anon come into a gif-maker’s ask box and start with the phrase: “I’m trying not to spam your inbox with reblogs, but” and then go on to say how much they love the gifs.

But I’m still stuck on that opening phrase because…what? I am so confused by how people view interactions on tumblr & AO3 these days. Let me make it very clear for anyone who is unsure:

CREATORS WANT YOU TO INTERACT WITH THEIR WORK.

The limit does not exist on how many of their works you can interact with in a certain period.

If you like every fic they’ve ever written? Then feel free to give them all kudos and even leave a comment on every single one if you feel inclined! If you’re going through someone’s blog and you vibe with every post, like/reblog to your heart’s content!

As long as you’re not expecting something back from them or adding a ton of irrelevant comments, it’s not spam! It’s what this is all about!! I’m not even much of a creator and I still feel a huge sense of pride when I see a ton of notifications in a row from a person, as it clearly shows they thought my blog was worth spending time on.

And if for some reason a creator is annoyed by this (unlikely), they can manage their own experience (turn off notifs, not look at their notes, delete the fic, etc) -- so don’t deprive the majority of creators because of some imagined annoyed person. Fandom is a collaborative effort and we all must participate!
