The Internet of Things Scholarship
The way I look at it, my future consists of me becoming a teacher, by the time that happens I will be teaching Generation Alpha. This group of kids is growing up with the best kinds of technology because the Internet of Things is always moving forward. Becoming a mother and a teacher in this time, I am going to need to step up my technological game. Even though, our parents may already think that we are too advanced and too connected and glued to our devices. But overall, when you look at how the Internet of Things has shaped us, Millennials, as students and as children, it has a very positive outlook. We are the next group of people coming up into the workforce and the world, and our technology has adapted our minds to be ready for all the technological advancements to come at work and at home. Being able to keep up with all of it, is the hardest part. Walking into my student teaching job this year was the first time I felt how our parents do-- behind. Stepping in and seeing a smart table and the alternative seating, I felt like a child who just wanted to play with it. But, these kinds of technological advancements are happening all around us to better our education. Even as a mother, many children have nooks and leap pads at earlier ages to help them learn earlier and develop better and more quickly. This kind of advancement can help Generation Alpha become more advanced kindergarteners and completely change my curriculum if they surpass it with their knowledge. The future of the Internet of Things could lead to so many things to make our lives easier: such as hovercrafts, time travel, a cure for cancer, etc. Just think about what it has already done for us, the creation of the internet, the cell phone, the television, these advancements have already lead us in the right direction and they are only making us smarter, so the inventions can only be better with the generations to come, and I am in change of teaching them how to do just that.
