aurora my beloved some of my Dragonborn species lore for those who are curious ↓

Dragonborns in Skylands are an exclusive species, only being formed by immense trust between humans and dragons. Hundreds of years ago, Dragons would protect the Core of Light along with the old Portal Masters and Skylanders. Seeing as the average human could not keep up with properly protecting the Core of Light, the Dragons decided to infuse the future Portal Master generations with Dragon energy, turning the former humans into Dragonborns. With their newfound Dragon heritage, they are able to preform stronger magic and have the ability to shift into dragons themselves. Although, turning into a full dragon forme takes extreme amount of energy, and Dragonborns will only do so if in grave danger. Dragonborns mostly stay in a humanoid forme, but have dragon scales mostly on their arms, back, legs, and sometimes face. Their ears are also pointed, but still mantain their human size. Their eyes are more reptilian, having an extra eyelid and slit pupils. Their dragon formes match the scales they have on their skin, but the actual dragon body type varies on which kind of dragon energy flows through their blood. Eon's great grandparents were the first Dragonborns in Skylands, making up the rest of the generation of Portal Masters up until Aurora.
