because I just had my first blood draw since starting testosterone/my initial blood work, I figured now would be a perfect time for an update on how things are going:
(im at 7 weeks on testosterone, for reference)
- voice drop: I wasn't expecting this so quickly! I honestly think I started to notice it around 2-3 weeks, but I could be crazy. it had definitively gotten lower by 4-5 weeks, and around then other people started commenting on it (let's just say, I was pretty excited).
- changes in period: my period hasn't completely stopped yet, but it's gotten a lot more bearable. I used to be in so much pain the first day of my cycle I could barely get things done. now, I've been having some occasional mild cramps. I've also been bleeding a lot less. i used to bleed through overnight pads in less than 5 hours at the beginning of my cycle, but at this point I think I could get away with just wearing liners. this has honestly been my favorite change. fuck periods, man.
- bottom growth: I also think I noticed this after a couple of weeks, and it's gradually continued since then. the area is way more sensitive as well.
- sex drive: everyone said this would go up, and they weren't wrong. I'm a lot hornier than I used to be, for lack of a better way to put it.
- less sensitive to heat: now, this is another one where I can't prove anything, but recently I've been able to handle hot temperatures much better than I used to. it used to be unbearable to workout in the summer heat but now it's a mild annoyance. who knows if it's the testosterone, but I figured I'd mention it
even though I haven't even been on testosterone for two months, I can't imagine my life without it. I feel like myself.
(I'll probably come back and edit this, because I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff)
(also not quite sure what to tag this so if I need to add anything lmk)
