This was Alex Núñez Sandoval, he was 39 years old and he had 3 kids. He had his own repair garage at home. On the night of Oct 21st he was at Estación del Sol, Maipú. It was past curfew and cops arrived to where his group was protesting pacefully, they hit him with their batons on his ribs and he hit the ground. 3 cops proceeded to beat him on his head, thorax, ribs and shoulders. When he managed to arrive home he sent his wife a photo reporting his bruises, he didn’t have any energy left to go to a hospital. At 7am his brother notices the severity of his injuries and takes him to a hospital. He died on Oct 22nd at 3:30am of closed traumatic brain injury. Don’t forget his face or his name, he’s another victim of the state.

A recent campaign of mass train-fare evasion by highschool students has sparked a popular uprising in Chile.

The nationwide revolt has now lasted more than a week, with the demands of protesters expanding far beyond the initial campaign against the increase in cost of public transport.
