justin jeong. 39. paranormal investigator. "Sometimes there's no meaning in the visions when you're sleepin'. Don't wake up and believe them. You're looking at the ghost of me."
Charlotte walked into the diner with her young daughter holding her hand. They didn’t go a lot but today she wanted to treat Everly for being good in school. She was about to find them a booth to sit at when a stranger’s question caught her off guard. This was an interesting question. ‘’Never been asked this before but..I’d say a pirate ghost. The others sound nightmare inducing.’’ With this Everly piped up. ‘’Pirate!’’ Charlotte laughed and nodded. ‘’She agrees.’’
“I would argue that all three would be rather terrifying to see, the pirate included.” he pointed out, a pause after his sentence as he wondered which of the three he would choose to get a glimpse of. At the sound of the small outburst, a warm smile spread across his face, his eyes turning to the child. “Good choice!” he said to the girl before turning back to her mother. “I’d have to agree with her, probably the lesser of three evils. She’s a smart kid.”
𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑬'𝑺 𝑨 𝑸𝑼𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲 written upon Mercy’s face as she leaned down to place the other’s order on the table before him. A confused look, yes, but the way her lips perked up at the corners made it clear that she was amused. “What kinda question is that?” Standing up straight, both hands finding a place upon her hips as she began to ponder the question—finding her own answer rather quickly. “Definitely a pirate ghost. I don’t know. Somethin’ about the other two really send a chill down my spine,” she confessed with a quick laugh. “What’re you pickin’?”
A hum of agreement left Justin’s mouth at the server’s answer, a pleased expression on his face that she had decided to play along rather than ignore his rather abnormal question -- not that he would blame her if she had. “Red-eyed ghost. The viewers would probably appreciate that more,” he said, giving a nod to affirm his answer. “But between you and me, I think the pirate ghost is the right answer, especially if you’re on your own. Feels like he’d be more comical and less eerie.”
Justin’s eyes scanned the over-priced tour guide book he had picked up at some souvenir shop in the French Quarter, his fries abandoned while he read about the different hauntings of New Orleans. He was in awe of all the different locations and the histories behind them. Once he had gotten to the interesting excerpt about the Blacksmith Shop Bar, he had to ask the nearest person to him, "So, imagine you are sitting at a bar. Would you rather see a pirate ghost, a ghost of a woman in black, or a ghost with red eyes staring back at you?”
STEVEN YEUN, CIS MAN, HE/HIM – There goes JUSTIN JEONG checking into the Golden Motel. The THIRTY-NINE year old is a PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR from TAMPA, FL. I think they are ADVENTUROUS but I heard that they can also be SCATTERBRAINED. Hope they enjoy their stay!
THE BASICS;
Name: Justin Jeong
Korean Name: Jeong Ju-won
Date of Birth: November 1st
Birthplace: Orlando, Florida
Hometown: Tampa, Florida
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Family Members: Jeong Jiwoo (Mother), Jeong Sung-Jin (Father)
THE BACKGROUND;
Justin grew up in a big family that consisted of his mother, his father, his two sisters, and three brothers. While at times he may have wished that his family hadn’t been so crowded, he wouldn’t have traded it for anything else. He loved having such a big family that he wanted one of his own when the time was right.
Fortunately, he met the woman who wanted the exact same as him in the form of his high school sweetheart, Olivia. She was in love with the idea of having little ones running around their home but agreed that the time would need to be right. However, something always got in the way of that with college, then starting new jobs, then working towards promotions, and marriage.
As the years went on though, things in their marriage and relationship changed. The two of them went from talking to each other whenever possible to being too tired or too busy for each other. The relationship started feeling more and more like a chore and the love between them slipped away.
They finally decided to separate, however, divorce papers were never filed. So legally, Justin is still married to Olivia. Also, he tends to change the topic whenever somebody wants to talk about her. He hates that his marriage was a failure.
Around the same time of his separation, him and two of his friends decided to start up a new hobby, ghost hunting. Whether it was due to a mid life crisis or to keep his mind of his failing marriage, whatever caused him to find this new passion, he couldn’t be happier about it as it opened new doors.
The three of them started up their own online show on Youtube (very low budget Buzzfeed Unsolved-esque). They got lucky with a viral video after a year or so of uploading videos and now they travel around the country producing videos/the show.
Justin is very much a believer in the paranormal. He believes in the tiniest shred of evidence that ghosts are real and loves attempting to communicate with the afterlife, though it also scares him shitless at times.
Now they are in New Orleans to investigate some haunted place (need to talk this out with the other muns). He also believes that one of the rooms in the Golden Motel is haunted and is ready to check that out.
