Minha took pride in being a truthful person. There wasn’t often a time a lie would leave her lips, and it was only in the case that it was better for the person being lied to. Honesty was the best policy, after all.
There were times, however, that the truth didn’t need to be known. When that happened, she twisted her words enough to fix the situation, but not enough to reveal something. She learned to be careful with how she phrased things, not only in the event of nosy strangers but also for the day she met someone she liked enough to not want her baggage or embarrassing past to come along for.
Her boss was one such person. Not that she knew— for all Minha admired the older woman, there was no way to say it without being misunderstood. Still, relocating to Suwon at the drop of a hat wasn’t something done for an acquaintance.
“That’s easy!” Minha, the fool, had sad. “I can move here tomorrow!”
It had been easy to hide in the weeks thus far; she returned to her Gwangju home whenever she had more than a day off, and spent the rest of the nights wherever she wouldn’t be kicked out of.
Usually, she would take care in finding a hidden area, as to not to run into someone who knew her face. When the days were especially exhausting, however, there isn’t much time to think.
One particular day was as such— Minha had gone to a nearby park to stretch out her and her team’s legs, sat down on a nearby bench and blacked out. Mine and Figaro had panicked briefly, but once night fell and no one came to wake her, they calmed down. The Espeon snuggled up beside her to keep her warm, while the Gogoat kept watch until he too fell asleep.
