The anxiousness, he felt it too. He wanted to know the reason she came back, because she perfectly knew just how hurt he was. He even left without saying anything to her; they were not really in the best term. 

He kept himself busy so that he could forget about her. Maybe his success now was also thanks to her because he finally focused on his career so that he could forget his heartache. But now, when she suddenly came, he knew something was going on. And he was not ready for it. Not ready to get hurt.

Her message made his eyes widened. He was in disbelief. This was not that easy for him to take — at all. She couldn’t just come back and tell that she wanted a do over. Right now, his mind telling him not to fall for it. His heart was blinded by his own shield that he created so that he won’t have to get hurt anymore.

[kkt : KY ] What are you saying? Let’s meet, where are you?

He felt it was the best thing to do; he wanted to hear her explanation directly.

Kyrie knew she had no right, no right to ask him for a second chance. Would she have given him a second chance if he left her for another? 

The pain was unbearable since she knew her heart yearned for him, days before she and Seunghyun decided to officially split-up. It wasn't fair for the rapper to be with a woman like her, a woman who missed the affection of another man. She was the worse kind of woman, but at the same time, knowing she didn't deserve any of the two men, she couldn't just sit and mope without trying. Kyrie needed closure. If Sungjoon didn't want her around, then he would have to tell it to her face. If he allowed her a miracle, allowed her a second chance, she'd take it and give her entire heart to the man. He was the one person who understood her, the one person who made her feel needed, and she hated herself for throwing it away, and thinking another would be so much better. 

She remembered the days when she looked forward to seeing him, hearing his voice, feeling his touch. Her days were much brighter with her sun around. Currently, her days have been gloomier. 

Kyrie gasped at the message, he wanted to meet. 

[kkt: SJ] I'm at my house, but I can meet you anywhere.

The anxiousness in her message was obvious. The fact he was giving her an opportunity to explain herself caused her to become both nervous and excited.

He knew he was probably being too much on her. He was being immature as well. Sungjoon couldn’t accept the fact that she chose the other guy over him after he showed just how much she meant for him. He knew he should have been happy for her and still being a good friend to her, like he was once one. But no, he decided that his treatment now was a way for him to let her feel his own pain; a way of revenge.

He drowned himself in liquor last night until he passed out. Even his manager had to cancel his schedules again for today. Sungjoon only woke up in the middle of the day with a massive headache only to received another contact from her.

Frowning he sat up on his bed, feeling frustrated inside as he replied to her.

[kkt: KY ] What is it that you want Kyrie? Why are you suddenly appear now?

She waited for a good while for his reply. Forever the tiny number still showed he hadn't read the message and it pained her so much. When the message indicated he read it, her anxiousness grew. The anticipation of hearing from him built and came crashing down when a few hours later he replied with cold questions. "I want you, you idiot. It's always been you. I take that back, I am the idiot, I was stupid and left you. I left something that could have been so wonderful to be with a man I thought would make me just as happy. And I was wrong..." She replied to the screen of her phone. How was she to reply? 

[kkt: SJ] In truth? I want a do over. But I know I do not deserve it. 

[kkt: SJ] I already told you why, I miss you.

She buried her face in the pillow before hitting send, waterfalls of tears flowed. The mistake was unbearable. Not everyone received second chances, Kyrie knew that, and she knew Sungjoon didn't ow her a thing after what she had done. But what did she have to lose for telling him how she really felt? And so she hit send.

Three words enough to made him lost his energy as he leaned back onto seat, looking soulless until his manager asked if he was okay and not earning any answer from him. It was the words he wanted to hear the most. But this time it was different. She was with someone else — or at least he thought she was. And that just raised a lot more questions which drives the actor crazy. Why would she say that to him?

For the rest of day Sungjoon was looking clueless, he couldn’t focus on his work that he had to cancel a few of his schedules since he needed to be alone right now. 

Arriving back at his flat he sat on his living room while staring to the phone he was holding, wondering if he should give her another call or not. He was arguing with himself. A part of him told that he should keep moving forward and leave her behind, while the other just dying to ask about what she said earlier.

She managed to pick her pitiful self upstairs to shower and dress up for bed. It was a long week, it felt like months since she last saw Sungjoon, and it didn't go well at all. The ultimate blow to the evening was his cold facade from start to finish. From the concert to the telephone call. Why?His words repeated itself in her head. Words spoken by the gorgeous soothing voice she loved. The next morning she sat in her empty jewelry store. It was empty because she didn't bother to flip over the open sign, nor unlock the door of Frost. She was numb. Completely numb, but her thoughts were still on Sungjoon. Numbness was supposed to make her forget it all, instead her body was in shock from his cold reaction towards her. She gave in, sending a kakaotalk message to the male. A final curtain call, she felt like it anyway. 

[kkt: SJ] I'm sorry about last night. Pretend I wasn't there, pretend I never called you. Pretend I never existed.

It was a message which border lined immaturity and self-pity. She sighed loudly and laid her head on the glass counter, staring at the rose gold diamonds. She missed the lore, she missed her home. Since her exile she's been alone and not lonely, since her final meeting with Sungjoon she's truly alone and very lonely.

Putting a hand over his forehead, he massaged it slowly while resting his elbow on the hand rest of his seat. He felt drained from the shock of seeing her again. He felt his phone vibrated, and he had been waiting a call from one of the producers he was working for, so he didn’t even bother to look for the caller ID.

But he froze the moment he heard the voice from the other line. A voice that resonated in his heart, a long time ago. It’s been almost a year and it still managed to make his heart beating like crazy. 

"Why?"

His voice was cold.

He gave her a one word response, an indication of no longer caring. Kyrie was about to drive towards his place, but since his attitude was obviously indifferent, she was taken aback. She didn't know how to respond. She muttered a little, finding the right words to say. Could she tell him she missed him? Why not, she had nothing more to lose, except her dignity. "I miss you, Sungjoon." She lost it as soon as she said those words, and she found it difficult for her to breathe, let alone hold a conversation. Why? She couldn't think of any other reason, but her selfishness.

 Kyrie hung up the phone quickly and drove to her lonely, duplex penthouse, in Apgujeong. As soon as she arrived, she allowed herself to sob loudly. Her cries echoing the room. She hadn't any energy to head upstairs to shower and get to her bed. Instead she hugged herself, and tried not to shake too much. Her phone laid next to her, she saw it through watered eyes.

He only blinked his eyes once. Just once. And it was only to make sure that he was not dreaming. He thought that he was okay — that he already moved on. But it was like a sharp blade went through his heart and made it bled once again the moment they eyes met for the second time and she was still there.

He realized that he was not imagining things, and that she was really there. She — the one who brought him both happiness and despair. But this time he was only feeling the pain.

Seeing her mouthing his name, he finally snapped back into reality. He gave her a strong gaze, but they were indifferent. It wasn’t the gaze he always had for her. Without replying the bow, he kept walking to pass by her and entered his car.

When he passed by her as if she was a ghost, her heart tore. She had a bit of hope he would at least look at her, acknowledge her presence or smiled a little since she came to support him. But as the very large crowd of women of all ages chased after his car, Kyrie took one final glimpse at the man she let get away. She nearly fell over if it wasn't for her car parked directly behind her. She stumbled into the car, her hands shaking, and tears rolled down her face. This was closure, it was, but she didn't want to accept it. She needed to hear him say it was over. It was only an excuse, she knew it, to see him one last time. To really look at him and witness the man she lost. Wiping her tears, she dialed his number, a number she hoped he didn't change. He heard someone on the other line. "Sungjoon? Please don't hang up. It's me, Kyrie. Can we see each other, tonight if you can?"

Sungjoon was busy with all the attention he was getting from his fans. They were his source of strength now that he could get back on his own two feet. There were just too many people, but maybe some sort of unseen force did reached out to him. He couldn’t explain it, but he felt someone was calling out to him even though those girls were basically screaming his names.

Smiling to al of them he looked around until his gaze fixed to one point where he felt like his heart was about to drop. She was there, looking straight to his eyes and able to make him froze, and his smile disappeared. 

Am I starting to see her? again? He thought to himself. There were times where Sungjoon couldn’t stop imagining that she came back for him and that she chose him over the other guy. He really worked hard to get over her. And it took quite some time  until finally he really stop imaging those things. But why suddenly those images of her came back hunting him again? Why now?

Kyrie thought he made eye contact with her, but with so many people in the crowd she knew that even if he did the man wouldn't give her the time of day after what happened between them. When the crowd dissipated, with many of Sungjoon's fans waiting to catch a glimpse of him getting into his car and driving away, Kyrie stood hopelessly by as well. She hoped any glimpse of him would calm the pain she felt inside from wanting to be with him, even if she knew the man had the right to be upset with her and not give her the time of day. In her matte gray Ferrari, she waited. No one noticing her fancy Italian ride because Sungjoon was their main target, their main purpose of battling the cold. 

Screams were heard, it grew louder and more excited, as a tall figure appeared moving between the crowd. Kyrie got out, stood near her car and watched. She was closer to him now, closer than she had been in months. She could hear his voice, the voice so deep and soothing, it brought her back to memories of their time together. Kyrie didn't move, instead she stared, she stared and allowed Sungjoon to move towards her, but only because his car was in the same direction of where she stood. When they made eye contact, or at least she thought they made eye contact, she could only muster a shy partial bow and smile. "Hello, Sungjoon."

Sungjoon was all smiles, he sang his heart out. Passionated and full of talent. Fingers playing on the strings of his guitar. He might not be as popular as idols nor he is as famous as the actor, Choi Seunghyun. But he has his fans, who will support him and loves him for his talent. It was enough for the guy. 

Because the venue was packed, he couldn’t really spot the girl who was staring at him intently. He just focused on entertaining his fans and made a great night for them. 

At the end of his performance, he would pull out a fan and grant her with a tight hug and a kiss of her cheek which made the crowd break out in screams and cheers. He held the girl’s hand who was blushing hard before bowing to the crowd. [ jynxkyrie ]

If she wasn't in a room full of people, Yoon Kyrie would be stomping her feet like a child not getting her cotton candy. Sungjoon continued to sing and play his guitar, and she believed even if the crowd parted like the Red Sea leading his vision to the lone woman with the disappointed look on her face he would continue on at his heart's content. She turned her face, not wanting to see the sight of the hug and kiss he gave the lucky fan. The crowd when wild and it was enough for her to feel both foolish and jealous to the utmost extreme. 

Her eyes focused on his hand and the fan, it stayed there until they parted. The crowd emptied and Kyrie stood, frozen, in shock and in complete loss for words. She practiced what she would say to him if a meeting occurred, but it was all lost in the depths of her despair. It was her fault after all, she chose Choi Seunghyun. He was sweet, talented, safe. Unbeknownst to the man on the stage, he was the wild fire that coursed through her soul and engulfed her heart whole at every kiss and touch. He was unpredictable, blunt, bold, passionate. Bang Sungjoon was risky, he was rough around the edges and followed his own rules. He was...unattainable. "Sungjoon-ssi?" Her voice echoed in the empty concert hall, and she wasn't sure he heard as a group of women in their mid-twenties were screaming out to him at the same time. ( bangxsjn )

Was she blinded with lust? She loved Tabi, a good friend and someone who supported her. But the fiery passion was never there, at times it felt forced. She began to think of her sun in solo moments. The moon began to yearn for the balance. Parting from Tabi left their love in the dust, possibly rekindling it but most likely not. It was nearly impossible when her heart searched for the sun. Who in their right mind would deny Choi Seunghyun? She would have been judged severely if the public, his fans, knew of the relationship and the end of it. With that love story left in the dust, Kyrie moved on. But moved like a ghost, floating, in search for the now unrequited love for the talented guitarist.

Staring at man, singing with a voice that stirred her soul, memories of the past haunted her that very moment. "Sungjoon-ah," a soft whisper towards him, amongst the screams and cheers of the packed attendance. The gala showcased the vocals of a musician who once held her in his arms, now she was a distant molecule of the past. Kyrie kept her gaze at him, hoping to be noticed. ( bangxsjn )
