He didn’t care if people cried, he wanted them to feel just like him. Then, when he was ten years old, sitting at the edge of another loud barbecue, you came up to him — the summer sun leaving the same glow you had now, wearing the same smile. And maybe he just decided to agree with your proposal because he was mad at Roy for snapping at him over something or other. But it was the best decision he ever made.
