I will be creating an animation of a scene from Breaking Bad. It is the one where Hank meets Tuco and the two of them have a shootout. This is the first page of storyboards that I have completed. I’ll post the next pages as I complete them.

Dunkirk Movie Poster Animation

I have finished animating most of the things I wanted to animate on the Dunkirk movie poster. I added atmospheric smoke but I didn't get the chance to add fire.

Dunkirk Ideas

Some ideas i wrote out about the poster and what you can see in it. I wanted to choose the most noticeable parts of it and animate them.

Movie Poster Animation

I had 3 ideas for which movie poster I wanted to animate. The 1st was Dunkirk, the 2nd was The Raid, and the 3rd was Scott Pilgrim Versus the World.

I ended up picking Dunkirk because of personal preference as well as a mostly one sided class vote.

I took a lot of inspiration from the game ‘Skyrim’. The landscapes above are comparable to what is in my animation.

My 2 week animation elective is almost over and in that time I have created this short 10 second animation.

Did an alternate style sheet of one of my frames to experiment with a different colour palette and style.

The shape of the bow in this drawing inspired me in the creation of the bow that I ended up using in my own animation

Some more inspiration. I decided to hide the hunter’s face like in this piece of art to hide his identity but also because it would be easier for me to animate with. I did however decide to keep the eyes visible as a sort of cartoony element, and also because I could add a few blinking moments just as a way to have more movement.

I wanted my hunter’s gear and armour to be something that wouldn’t be historically accurate and something you would expect to see in a video game like Skyrim. I took some inspiration from this piece of art when drawing my character.

This has some elements that I would like to add into my own animation. The rain effect would be nice to have and the leaves flying around would add another sense of movement into the animation

UGH! I want to finish this sometime but it takes forever so I thought I’d just put up the rough for now. I used THIS as a reference. No tracing involved, just referencing. However I used a much smaller version of the gif and now I found this bigger one and I’m like “The hips! The hips need more snap!” Also her bow is ‘swimming’ a bit :P Oh well, it’s still rough so I can always tweak things later :P I hope this plays ok for you guys, I had a tricky time with the frame rate for browsers. In fact I have another finished animation that I can’t put up because I can’t figure out this frame rate gif thing :/ Thanks to the new followers: seanizaakse and nerrels!

I would love if I could get one of my scenes to look like this but I don’t think I have enough time to draw out all of the frames. I will still try to get something similar to this.
