Rant about job and gender

At my job we were supposed to be supplied with two shirts, I didn’t know that I just bought myself the men’s collared shirt. My supervisor said I was supposed to have two so she went into the inventory to give me a new shirt, the women’s designed shirt. I’m a closeted trans masculine presenting agender so I’m not really open with my identity at work so I didn’t say anything of course. It’s perfectly fine for whoever likes female designed shirts I just believe they are SO aggravating.

It’s. design. It’s like adjacent to pockets that are fake pockets. It’s a collared t-shirt but it’s collar is perpetually useless because it doesn’t have buttons. Why is it that it has to show my collar bones?? I usually wear a shirt under my work shirt as well so you are gonna inevitably see my stupid colored shirt underneath with a graphic because I don’t have blank shirts. It’s length also, it cuts off at where my shirt usually ends so it looks like I have a little t-shirt skirt. I can laugh at that aspect though, I look silly. Shorter sleeves and slimmer around the sides. IT SUCKS IT SUCKS. ITS NOT FOR ME. It could’ve been so simple to ask for a men’s medium and have no further questions asked.

I feel that being trans in a work space is very unconventional (not saying that it is) because not a lot of people can understand you. I’m fighting an internal war with gender while also having social anxiety with my coworkers. Despite the space also being queer?.. I still feel unsafe. I could list off three homosexual people who work there but I feel like there’s a growing distinction between lgb and tqia unfortunately. I have family who are gay but say themselves that they don’t “understand” transgender people.

All my worry goes away once I just do my job and kind of zone out on doing tasks so i’ll be okay. Gonna wear the woman’s designed shirt with my corporate fleece on top to hide.
