After using the human weapon to save Ri'nela, I believe Nor spent some time near a river or lake to clean his hands. Perhaps asking Eywa for forgiveness for having used metal.

At the beginning of the game we see that as a child, Nor frequently had nightmares. I believe that even as an adult, he still has these nightmares, although less frequently because he had escaped from TAP along with the others sarentu. After he disappeared, the nightmares returned, and he was alone, which worsened his fears and anxieties. When he connected with his ikran, the nightmares continued, but now he had a reliable companion by his side during the nights.

Headcanon

So'lek likes to teach other people. When Tamtey learned to hunt with Itu, So'lek became a little jealous. He could teach Nor, but Nor was out exploring the world (and probably learning on his own), Ri'nela too busy studying as much as possible of the little information the sarentu had (Although she would appreciate So'lek's teachings). So So'lek went to find Teylan to teach him how to hunt.
