When eyes met eyes from across the room. A spark erupted like no other.

Eyelids blinked consecutively faster than on average when eye befell the bipedal creature. Definitely like no pokemon he ever saw before. What may she be? What truly was she? He had his fair share of run ins with some other beings, but nothing such as the sight now before him.

She simply stared, and staring was all that she did. Not a word, not a peep escaped from vocals. Truthfully he knew not if she could even voice anything for that matter. Constantly he learned of new pokemon never before seen in regions he visited when he traveled to new places. Did she happen to be one of those?

Head canted in one direction before tilting to the other side only a minute afterward, also staring right back. What to do. What to do. Perhaps he should attempt to convey some interaction with her, attempt to make some contact. “Are you able to use vocals? Any way to speak to others of your kind?”

“ of course we need water – what fool would want to rid us of all of it? ” it was becoming impossible to hide the sense of agitation in his voice, the bite of impatience that came with trying to reason with someone who could not, would not comprehend the magnitude of their endeavor. a grown man trying to explain the culmination of years worth of science to a wide-eyed ten-year-old boy, dexholder or not.

well, he couldn’t say he hadn’t tried. if nothing else, the young trainer would die spirited.

“ hoenn is in danger, boy, the likes you could never understand. it is dying of human negligence, and under threat of being swept to sea. i will not stand for it. the earth will not stand for it. ”

That’s correct.

Explanations only became more and more fruitless from the adult. He loved his home as it appeared now. Humans and pokemon knew how to live in harmony in this world as it stood before them. He may be young, but he knew exactly what he liked. It was harder to change the mind of a child set on their ways.

They may pout, and they may argue. Yet, their minds stayed rigged unless something else they liked more came into fruition.

This situation? Not so.

Bright eyed and bushy tailed, he was ready to pick that fight only because his childishness. Team Magma as a whole mattered not to him. Head shook back and forth in an almost violent manner. “That’s not true!” Voice raised an octave, almost squeaking from his vocals.

“I learned that Mount Chimney erupts for a reason. To take away the old and disturbed and create new life in its wake. I haven’t seen anyone neglecting our homeland. We all stand rooted. My dad taught me that the land and sea work in balance, just like all the pokemon. I see life all around me. It is not dying!”

Whether factual proof may present itself from the adult to dispute him, his mind settled where it was. That was his resolve. If it lead to a battle, then so be it! His team, his mightyena, were at the ready. Taikyuu growled at his side, ready to pounce once called upon.

“You can’t stop me! You also don’t scare me.”
