my biggest problem (and i’m sure everybody else’s) with tdwp2 was miranda not remembering andy. not for ship purposes or anything but because that’s simply just not miranda’s character. miranda cared about andy, she knew andy had potential and that’s why she said what she did to andy’s interviewer at the mirror. it’s so untrue to miranda’s character to say that she wouldn’t follow andy’s career and watch what and how she was doing. miranda’s too meticulous to just forget about the girl she saw the most potential in. even if the point of it is meant to say “miranda has had so many assistants that of course she couldn’t remember this one!” but that’s factually wrong. none of them like andy, none of them managed to get the unpublished MANUSCRIPT of a world famous book series. none of them were so out of place at runway and yet could’ve been the most successful with her drive and power. like, she proved something to miranda that i doubt very few others ever did. which is why miranda should never have forgotten who andy was, because andy was not at all just another assistant for miranda, she was far more than that.

The genius of Yellowjackets maintaining the team’s blue-and-yellow color scheme in the wilderness is that it subtly threads the girls’ past identity into their current environment.

There is a deliberate visual language in the wilderness: warm yellow tones from firelight and sunlight in the spring and summer months are frequently set against the deep blue of night and the soft, icy blues of winter. This persistent blue-and-yellow motif ties the survivors to the team they once were, while also showing how the wilderness twists and consumes that identity.

One of the clearest examples comes in the show’s very first scene: the Pit Girl sequence. When she first falls into the trap, it’s early morning, and the surrounding area is tinted in cold blue light. The next moment shown is the group gathered around a bonfire, the flames casting bright yellow light across their figures as they eat her, the warmth of the hue made horrific by the act it illuminates. There’s a tragic irony in how they remain surrounded by the very same colors that once united them as a team, even as they begin killing and eating each other to survive.

Alot of these aren't nessacarily parallels but I will take the opportunity to yap about my girls (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ASK.)

I think about how Jackie lost her purpose in the wilderness while Nat gained a purpose in the wilderness ALOT.

Jackie was unable to help out in the wilderness while everyone relied on Natalie for food when in Wiskayok it was the opposite, Jackie was the perfect popular girl that everyone looked up too and Nat was an outcast

I've seriously lost sleep over these scenes (⬇️)

Both of them left outside in the cold alone at night feeling completely defeated 😣

But Natalie got rescue soon after and Jackie died

Which leads me to the next thing!! Jackie was the one trying to keep everyone optimistic about rescue and Natalie was the one to actually get rescue
