i just honestly cant believe that we got really japanese and chinese and mongolian during stormblood its kind of baffling to me but also i love the au ra in the stippes... lowkey might be one of my favorite parts of the msq in general, i think the environments in sb are very homely

kind of glad im playing an au ra while going through the trial mostly bc its kind of immersive too maybe itll serve as some wol lore or something i dunno.

i think zenos is really interesting hes so into wol like crazy too. when your circle small but yall crazy. im kind of interested to see where he goes, yotsuyu too im not really sure how they will continue to be characters post sb, at least i hope they are vs the imperials we killed in earlier patches they can be interactive with us like nero i hope.

I've seen your old HSR posts, and idk if you've learned this in the meanwhile, but Phainon and the Reaver are one single entity from the start. He just appears twice because he's the enactor of the recursive loop, but he's also enacted by it since he's part of the world that is recursively looping.

It's a process called self-iteration, mentioned in his story II. In his case it's in progress during a cycle because his states (lifetimes) aren't aligned yet. It's also why "Phainon" has subconscious memories of the previous cycles (story IV, "Knowledge" voiceline pre-3.4 completion), or why his memories of ER 33,550,336 are shown as ALREADY being in the Reaver's mind at the vortex in his memories: the twist is there's only one mind from the start, with just a restriction of visibilities to those memories.

This full continuity is also shown in the logs, his consciousness and being is always one unique electrical signal: NeiKos496.

So yeah I am aware of this now. I was more interested in the over all vibes and themes of Amphoreus. I will say it’s more interesting that the other Emanators the eternal recurrences are built on also have similar themes of self iteration. Cyrene, Mem and The Seed of Memory are all the same individual that has been iterated multiple times in each cycle. Lygus also has multiple iterations of himself influencing Amphoreus as both the administrator and as a participant I. The experiment.

Just a hc that I always had about Bruce:

Yk when you're going to school/Work and the only thought of your brain is "Just until Friday,just until Friday"

I think Bruce does that a lot, specially when he's Batman

He just mentally says "just until next month and I'm retiring" and then next month arrives and it's "just until next month"

So imagine Bruce after a very very stressful space mission, everyone is exhausted and he thinks to himself "just 4 more weeks.." and he accidentally says it out loud,and per embarrassment and tiredness when they question what's gonna happen in 4 weeks he just says "my retirement of the Batman mantle"

And the JL panicks, sure their bat is a bit old(he's 58) and surely Barry noticed he's been having a small tremor on his left hand for a few days now but retiring??

And now there's this big misconception that Batman is going to retire,the members are all panicking and planning for taking care of Gotham without Batman anymore,Bruce is planning a small trip of two days to keep the charade just so he doesn't have to say "No guys I just keep saying to myself that I'm gonna retire but I'm not actually doing it and I just lied to y'all" in their faces,there will be a party of goodbye for him

And Clark is panicking extra hard because he wanted to ask Batman out for ages but they only know each other in costume,so now he might never have the chance because bats is leaving and he doesn't even know his name nor have his number

Some teammates decide it's not a big deal, others are a bit angry Batman fooled them.

AI has RUINED my ability to enjoy random fanfics. So AI in general pisses me off, beyond the immediate issue of massive energy consumption and threatening job security for people, because they are almost always worse than just having a human do it in every way except maybe math and data compiling since those are things computers were designed to do better than humans. But AI generated writing in particular makes my bones itch in a very particular way. Its grates and there are certain conventions that it always falls back on that I in particular loathe. I think the most frequent one is this overly verbose attempt at description that tells me nothing and slopping together descriptive little phrases or adjectives in threes. I hate that, it pisses me off, it ruins my reading experience and it is AI’s favorite thing to do which makes me hate AI even more because it now personally has affronted my sensibilities.

This is all to say when I read fanfiction I don’t expect ai conventions to manifest because you would think people write fanfic for nothing but love of the game, but now I have more than once encountered those awful nothing burger descriptions and the triple threat of bone itch and I’m just mad now. If you use AI to write your fanfiction please go jump into a reservoir that is being drained by the AI you’re using to fill my sacred temple with SLOP.

I would say KYS but suicide jokes aren’t funny and I don’t wish lasting harm on them so I hope you stub your toe and break a nail.
