Belle pursed her lips, and, without furrowing her brows (she didn’t want Vixen to feel guilty!) she gently reached out to hold her friend’s hand to coax her away from starting their haunted field trip early.
“It’s okay.” she says with a reassuring smile, directing it towards either Kaiser or Vixen. Though her slight flicker towards Dimitri proved that her voice was close to straining; it was no doubt a little embarrassing that her good friend wanted to stab her babysitter. Then again, she couldn’t be hypocritical, she understood that fear far too well. “He’s our friend, Vix! Been with us for, what, three years? Not an outsider at all.”
Dimitri awkwardly fist-bumped Kaiser, head turning to the side to cough into a fist. “Sorry,” he faked a cough, “I… (here his eyes slowly made their way over to Vixen)…don’t…like scary stuff. So I told dad…”
Well, that was a lame excuse. But it wasn’t exactly untrue. Hopefully it was enough to make Vixen trust Kaiser a bit better, even at the cost of his humility. But when the hell had they never babied and bullied him a little?
Vixen.. Blushed.
Although she didn’t mind her paw behind held, she pulled it away and scratched the back of her neck.
“RIGHT.. right yeah I just. I wasn’t scared of him or anything I just had to make sure to tell my friend who IS scared of outsiders!” she insisted, flustered.
“I won’t hurt him. And I’ll tell Snake not to hurt him either.” she looked over her shoulder as if expecting this ‘snake’ to walk by any second, before shooting a glance at Dimitri. She folded her arms.
“If you didn’t like scary stuff why’d you have to tell your dad? Shouldn’t you have just stayed home?”
She focused her gaze back on the brown furry. She puffed up, and walked over, holding a grimey little hand.
“I’m Vixen.” She laced her words with venom. @kaiserstryder
