Little disappointed in the Walking Dead fandom tonight. I have read SO MUCH Daryl hate in particular and hate to the writers and even a lot of the other cast…

Let’s hit some quick points;

Glenn’s comic death was published July 2012, so, we have known for four years he IS going to die. The writers confirmed they planned Glenn to die in his comic death for the last two years. Steven, Glenn himself, even went to the directors and told them he wanted to KEEP his comic death and did not want anyone else to have it.

So, no. It’s not Norman/Daryl’s fault. It’s not a race thing. It’s not to further Daryl’s story. It’s not solely “for shock value”. It’s Glenn’s death and Steven even wanted Glenn to have his death. It’s not any other cast members fault, it’s the story. Some death’s hurt and yeah– Glenn’s death hurts like a bitch. But it IS his and the actor even wanted it.

Be upset. Be hurt. Cry. Let yourself have that. We deserve our mourning. Glenn and Daryl are my two favourite characters so I am in turmoil right now. Glenn is an amazing character and he died in a very “Glenn way” and I’m proud of our cinnamon roll for being the perfect him until his final moments. So, be hurt but be proud and most importantly; don’t hate. It’s not worth it.
