In Matthew 9 Jesus walks up to Matthew, who is sitting at a booth minding his own business and simply says, "Follow me." Following that it doesn't go on to talk about the conversation they had about it or whether or not he knew who he was, etc. It says he got up and followed him. It's so black and white what God asks of us, yet we tend to make it so much more. He doesn't ask us to jump through all these hoops or prove ourselves to Him or ask us to be perfect, He just says " Follow me." It's us who makes things more difficult. So why can't we just take it for the black and white photo that it is? Why can't we have the faith that gets up from the booth, drops everything we are doing and goes? It is when we stop trying to make it make sense in our minds and just have faith that by following Him he will take care of us that we can have a relationship that is unbreakable. We will see miracles right in front of us. We will open ourselves up to truly be the hands and feet of Christ. But it isn't until we get up from the booth and go that we will be able to experience all He has in store for us.
