This is an Ask/RP blog for Strider Hiryu of the Strider series, featuring lore from the game series, manga and crossovers by Moto Kikaku and Capcom. This blog is presently a work in progress and thus aspects may change here and there overtime. This pinned post will be changed accordingly as I get things set up.

You may call me Anything Q ( or simply Q ) and I am the mun of this blog. Crossovers and OCs are welcomed here.

I do not claim any art that isn't my own, and some art for my icons is lifted from fanart. If a piece here is yours and you don't wish me to use it, please talk to me and I will no longer will use it . All I ask for you to be civil with me during the exchange. I am not unreasonable.

Bear in mind that Hiryu is a very dangerous man, and should he choose to use lethal force you'd best hope your muse can keep up with him or protect themselves from him if they're not on his level, let alone exceeding it. But unless they're a proper target for assassination or he's attacked in an attempt to maim / kill him, you should be fine.

If you are new to the series in its entirety, I recommend visiting the Strider wiki for in-depth info. I hope you will enjoy my rendition of Strider Hiryu, whether you're familiar with the character or not. Temporary rules list ( will be moved later )

I am very tired, I have little patience and tolerance for people's toxic antics and attitudes over social media, and am battling with anxiety and depression on the regular. As such, I am selective on who I follow and I may not necessarily follow back. You are still welcome to send me stuff, however.

If you have an issue with me, something I wrote, someone I'm writing with, or something I reblogged, talk to me civilly and we can try and work it out. I'm on the spectrum, so you'll have to be direct, no roundabout approach. I check rules lists for triggers to bear in mind but sometimes I may forget, so if something bugs you please tell me and I'll fix it so your blacklist will catch it.

There will be mature and violent content on this blog, but nothing that will be terribly explicit nor anything taboo, though I will be tagging it accordingly. I will not write with anyone under 18 years of age, and if you are very sensitive to certain violent content, do not follow this blog.

The muse and mun are different people; just because Hiryu doesn't care for your muse doesn't mean I won't care about you. And just because I write violent content on this blog doesn't mean I condone those things happening to real people in real life. Separate fact from fiction and you and I will be fine.

I expect effort if we're doing more than just simple sentences; If I write several paragraphs, don't just do one or two sentences and call it done. But neither do you have to push yourself to keep up for my sake, so write as much as you're able to write. I can do sentences or paragraphs, and I'm open to winging it or plotting if you wish.

Don't hound me for replies. I can be forgetful or easily sidetracked, so I may end up dropping threads without notice; if you wish to continue one you can talk to me and I'll see what I can do. I can be slow to varying degrees to reply at times, as I have life, work, and other interests.

No meta or godmodding. I will not accept auto-hits on my own muse or certain supporting characters unless I give the OK. NPCs such as mooks or such, however, are exempt from this rule. Do not force Hiryu into sexual situations without my consent, do not kill him without my approval. Likewise, I will never hurt or kill your muses unless you’re fine with it. Meta can be accepted in crack threads, but don’t outside of silliness.

So not far what Hiryu said about the fortress. Matt thought after listening to Shrika’s observation of the place. 

“Oh!” Shrika seems more curious. Looks like Matt got this guy to join their hunt. That’s better than hunting him down. It would be such a shame to kill someone like him. Now she got a good look at him. He looks handsome. Once the girls see him, they would agree as well. Although Sid is going to be focusing on the main task and Charlie would be too busy to notice, since she’s torturing the ones that got captured alive in order to get information.

“Then let’s have a fun time.” Shrika giggled, winking at Hiryu as she puts the knife in her small sheathe. 

“Also…I think Sid might have an idea on how to get inside.” Matt tells Shrika. “Pete told me.”

“Then I can’t wait…what sort of plan we’re going to kill them with.” Shrika chuckles. “Oh! I forgot! You can call me Shrika, assassin.” She greets herself to Hiryu. The duo keeps walking until they were in another clearing where there’s someone sitting on rocks, another sitting on the tree branch, a robot is sitting there, and a monster hiding in the shadows of the forest. There’s a total of five in total, waiting for the two to return. 

-🗡- Hiryu would nod to the bird woman as she introduced himself, but otherwise kept silent. There wasn’t much else to say, other than acknowledging her words. The ninja’s mind was focused on learning of the people he’ll be cooperating with, as well as working with them to accomplish his mission... to destroy the terrorists and wipe out whatever information they’re concealing inside of their base.

So far, so good. Their leader had no interest in the latter, and it seems like he and his allies won’t get in the way either, especially given he chose to join as a player. As long as it meant performing his mission smoothly, then this route was the best one to take.

Once at the clearing, Hiryu’s eyes would catch the forms of the other members of Matt’s party who appeared to have been waiting for him and the Shrika. Two people... a robot and, what appeared to be a beastly visage of some sort. Given they’re under the cover of night, there weren’t a lot of details to make out, but his vision could make out enough to tell almost half of them weren’t human.

“Are these allies of yours as well?” Asked the assassin as he observed them.

“Open areas…huh?” He said. So they have guards that rotates every shift. Searchlights and watchtower. If the place is big, like really big, he can’t cover the entire area with Killer Night. So what should he do? They can overrun the place with everyone here and try to overwhelmed and….

“Jeez…it sounds like a castle keeping something out. ” He snickered as he keeps moving forward. Then he heard a swoosh sound. Looking above, he sees a flying bird. It looks like she is done looking from above. Matt stands in the clearing waiting for the avian to land. The bird starts to land but as it lands, the shadow of this bird increases in size. Human size but bigger.

The demon bird, Shrika lands near the youth before transforms into a young woman with ebony skin that has a bird skull oranment on her curly cloud hair. 

“Shrika…got anything?” Matt asked.

“Yeah…that place looks like a prison from the sky. They have these towers and those damn lights. I took cover in the clouds…” The bird spoke. “What’s more it be hard to snatch up one of idiots up. It’s like they taking turns to stand guard.”

Then she glances over to the mercenary with red eyes. “So this is the guy who is taking our kills, huh? What happened?”

“He’s going to join us in the hunt.” Matt smiles.

“Really? Can’t wait…” Shrika giggles smirking at Hiryu, twirling her own knife.

-🗡- Another strange newcomer, and this one was able to transform... though Hiryu did not realize this was another person and associate of Matt’s right away until she landed before them and her appearance morphed into something more human. He had, instinctively, moved a hand towards the handle of his Cypher in case the monstrous bird attacked, but stilled his hand and moved it away once it was proven she was on their side.

‘Taking their kills’, huh? They must take quite a bit of pleasure out of  the hunt, it seems. Not that Hiryu intended to judge.

“I was sent to eliminate the terrorists.” Explained the ninja. “I’ve decided to join forces with you to accomplish that. Hence why I’m a new player in your game.”

Felicia jumped a bit since she wasn’t expecting Strider to show up so suddenly. “Jeez! Don’t just come out of nowhere!”

“B-but yeah. Demitri’s a jerk. It’s a pain to deal with him because he just refuses to be nice.”

-🗡- Whoops. He didn’t mean to spook her. But then that’s a force of habit. Coming and going from the shadows is just instinctive for him; it’s what he does.

“Apologies. It’s how I get around.”

“But that aside, your feelings on Demitri are valid.”

“Base against two sides…of a mountain.” He repeats the information vocally. “Less openings….and tighter defenses…” He thinks aloud, having this thoughtful look, nodding his head,  “Security measures. Stationed along open sides.” Also a direct approach is difficult without casualties, huh?

“How tight are we talking about? Their defenses? On a scale from 1 to 10?” He asked Strider. He had Pete surveillance the place with his bugs. Matt has an idea. “They have guards, right?”

He chuckles at the thought of this. Yeah…that could work. “Follow me.” He tells Hiryu as he starts to walk back to his group whose probably waiting for them. Then he sees a firefly, he raises his hand to which the fly lands on his finger. It flickers signals to which he smiles. “Oh looks like we got some news. Let’s get going on. My team is getting tired of waiting.” 

-🗡- How interesting. These people must also use fireflies as an additional means of communication. A curious method to be sure, but it seems to be effective as well. And, to Hiryu, it seems to be an effective way to keep outsiders in the dark; to the uninitiated they just seem like normal fireflies, he figures.

He would nod silently in acknowledgement before proceeding to answer his questions from earlier.

“As for your earlier question... you’re correct. They have guards posted around the open areas, and said open areas are fenced as well. They also have searchlights and watchtowers; a standard-fare set up, but a prudent one.” Hiryu would explain. “The guards are rotated around via shifts, so they make sure everyone is kept alert.”

Matt listened to his request, he cocks his head at this request before laughing, 

“Don’t worry! The only thing I’m going to take is their heads!” He laughs. “All that information, data and other stuff….I don’t care about that so do whatever you need to do.” This information must be very important to destroy. That said, he let Sid know about this especially the bombs that are planted. It looks like things are getting interesting and the youth is so happy that he gets to have fun again.

Then he gets to learn the man’s name.

“Hiryu, huh? That’s a nice name.” Matt said. He’s going to remember that name, “I did said that my name is Matt, right? Well anyway….let’s have a good hunt, Hiryu.” He smiles at him before turns around and walks. “Anyway…I’m going to guess their base is near the mountains, right?” 

-🗡- Excellent. This will make things less complicated. And the less complicated things are, the more straightforward this will be; something that Hiryu is quietly grateful for. Once this game is played and the information and base is destroyed, it will all be complete.

Since he’ll be cooperating with this bunch, then he surmised it prudent to share what information he could find about their base with Matt. He figures that he’ll surely share this with his fellows to formulate a plan to attack.

“That’s correct.” Hiryu turns his head in the direction where he first spotted their base. “They’ve built their base against two sides of the mountain so there’s less openings to be found in the other directions to approach it from, giving them a tighter defense against intruders. Security measures have been stationed along the more open sides that will make a direct approach difficult without causalities.”.

Second option, then. 

“Second choice it is.” He smiles. 

Alright then, Matt would accept that. It sucks that he won’t get to fight this Strider but that’s fine. If he were sent after him and his team in the future, he would have a lot of fun hunting him down and fighting him. Now he gets to learn about him as they hunt down the terrorists as one team. Of course, his teammates won’t be happy but it’s better than nothing like Sid said. He needs to let her know that Strider is off-limits so the teammates won’t bother him. Now for his request if he has to join his game. 

“Okay! What’s your request?” Matt is curious, wondering the request would be. But first,  “Also what’s your name? I did told you my name, right? It’s only fair if I know yours.” Matt asked him genuinely. 

-🗡-   Good. So far he seems receptive to his choice. Time to see if he will be the same towards his request as well.

“All I ask is not to take anything sensitive from the terrorists; that is, their information, data, and files. That I plan to destroy so that it cannot fall into the hands of others who may misuse it.” Hiryu explains. “I intend to wipe it all out along with the base, which I will be actively planting bombs in as we go. Once the game is over, I will detonate them and end the terrorist organization for good."

"As for my name... you can simply call me Hiryu.”
