EKG💙NYC: An All Hallows' Valentine's Eve Celebration of Misfit Love, Mutant Science and Aesthetic Rebellion. Friday The 13th, February, 2015. Valentine's Day is just the lukewarm aftermath for the stable and balanced masses. This February's Friday the 13th is the luckiest day for the unluckiest in love and life. Celebrate in solidarity at the first annual All Hallows' Valentine's Eve exhibition. The EKG💙NYC exhibition installation is a silhouette of an abstraction of our cityscape constructed of everyday objects painted black and orange: a metaphor for human resonance manifested on the corporeal plane, consisting of radars, tridents, buttons, balloons, stickers, t-shirts, zines, prints, patches, flags, drawings, paintings, and more. Imagine Keith Haring's legendary Pop Shop run by Tim Burton, Marilyn Manson, Walter White and Stephen Hawking. Then immolate and mutate it with an orange heartbeat earthquake by EKG and a doomdronecore auditory hallucination by @jeffersonwells. It's a solo show and it's a 99 dollar store. It's a celebration of misfit love, mutant science, and aesthetic rebellion. Our city vibrates with our passion, our ideas, our desires, our imagination.
