It wasn’t that the place was loud. Anything but. He’d chosen this park for the peace and quiet as he contemplated his next move. Still, it meant that he was so drawn into his own thoughts that he hadn’t heard this... Tanuki? Raccoon? speak until he was likely near the tail-end of his talking. 

The fact that an animal was here talking to him was something he could be curious over later.

“Hand me that flat-head screwdriver.” 

Asking a random stranger to hand him equipment wasn’t out of the ordinary. Though, normally, he was either in a place where he owned everyone or everyone worshipped the ground he walked on. Seto had quickly learned nobody here was even aware of KaibaCorp’s presence. Which, considering it was a global phenomenon, meant something was definitely wrong. 

Still, old habits die hard.

Pathetic. 

This place was absolutely pathetic and it sickened Seto. Not only did they have the audacity to bring him here, they had the gall to take all of his tech and replace his deck with.. whatever the hell this was. 

He tossed the cards aside, watching them scatter to the wind. He returned his attention to the toy duel disk they’d given him. Fine, he could make this into a proper one with enough care. Dismantle a few toasters, find some cheap tablets, and he’d have a working one in the span of a month. All he was worried about now was the cards. 

“You. Is Duel Monsters not a thing wherever we are?”

He shouldn’t be used to waking up in some unknown place, though he’s unfortunately gotten used to just that. At the very least he had his duel-- this.. was a toy. At best. The craftsmanship was garbage. He’d never let this sort of product be sold from his company. Whoever made this was fired. 

Still, his deck seemed to. . .

This wasn’t even a good fake. He flicked the counterfeit card aside, then stared at the next. Another fake. Another fake-- There weren’t even more than three Blue-Eyes made, who did these people think they were fooling? 

Still, the impatient taxi driver ahead of him was giving him the stink-eye. He’d sort all this out later... For now, he had to adapt.
