This is just something I wanted to get off my chest that's been bothering me a few days. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, so I don't want anyone to take offense. This is just ramblings of a crazy lady.
I've always gone by a simple saying. "You're only as good as the RP you inspire."
Isn't that why we all RP? To express our creativity and inspire one another to create these amazing, beautiful stories? Because that's why I RP. Because I adore a good, long, juicy, delicious story I can immerse myself and my characters into.
And one of the greatest compliments as an RPer is to have partners who desire to write with you. It's more than just being told "you're an amazing writer" or to be called "one of the best roleplayers I've met", it's about more than just saying, it's doing, it's showing that person just how much you enjoy writing with them, that it inspires you to want to write with them.
And I don't mean just character interactions and relationships, I mean actual development for both characters, molding and changing them through events, scenarios, good times, and bad. The ups and downs, thick and thin.
Nothing is more humbling as a writer than when someone will go out of their way to RP with me, because I feel as if I've done what I set out to do. Inspire them to write, to express themselves and their creativity.
But on the flip side, there is nothing more painful than being on the other side of that glass wall. Being the roleplayer that people RP with once, and have no desire to continue any RP with. And like salt in the wounds, to be told I'm a "great writer", but still not be that inspiration for your partner to desire continuing that story.
I've had my ups and downs since coming from MG to WrA. I've had some incredible roleplay, fantastic, some of the best I've ever had the privilege of being involved with. But at the same time, I've been cut and torn into deeply.
I will never claim myself to be an amazing writer. I know I'm flawed. I know my writing is flawed. I know my characters are flawed. I know my stories are flawed. And that is on me, something I am working on. I want to improve as a writer, and I want to inspire.
So if anyone walks away from this, it's to remind you that actions speak far louder than words. If you truly enjoy someone's writing, show them. Don't tell them. Let them know you appreciate their story, their roleplay, by writing with them. It's the best compliment you can give someone.
And with that, I would like to thank all 150 of you whom have followed me. You all mean so much to me, I love you all. But unfortunately, as of this moment, I'm going to be temporarily retiring Kailaeya.
I love my monk dearly. She is one of the closest to my heart because she is single handedly my most broken character. But sadly, it's becoming more and more difficult for me to roleplay her. So as of now, she is going to be temporarily retired until I feel secure enough to RP her again confidently.
As of now, any RP I was previously doing on Kailaeya, I will do my best to continue, though that really only goes for one person, and you know who you are. But that person aside, Kailaeya the character, and her tumblr, will be set aside for some time.
I will still be in game, and I will mainly be focusing on other characters. So please feel free to message me here and I can pass along my battletag, no problem. I will check back periodically for messages, but as far as posting content, that will be paused.
Again, this is temporary until I'm confident enough to RP Kai again, but sadly I cannot give an ETA on how long that will be. But I thank you guys for all of the good times, and I love you all. <3
Um.... I don't know where this anon is getting their fact from, but do yourself a favor, and keep your nose out of business you have no idea what you're talking about. This is the exact reason I said I was taking a break from tumblr, for garbage like this. But I came back JUST to respond to this.
I don't know who you are, and I hope I don't find out, because that will be the end of our friendship if I do know you. If I don't, then you can make sure I won't have anything to do with you.
Fang and I have had our differences, yes. And we've both done and said terrible things to one another. But we made amends, we reconciled, and we're friends.
And if you must know, I was the one who lashed out at HIM, and HE was the one who had to ignore ME. Not the other way around. Get your facts straight, brah.
Just a heads up, I love you guys all to pieces, but I need a break from tumblr.
I see a lot of good and bad, and while I adore tumblr and it's one of the happy places I go to in order to cut up, post prompts, and have a good time, sometimes it can also be a super depressing for many many reasons.
So for that I'm going to take a step back, let some things blow over, focus on a lot of things I have planned in game, and hopefully I'll be back soon.
I know I'll be missing a lot of things, and hopefully someone can keep me posted on the happenings, but I wanted to apologize for disappearing a head of time, and while I'll miss you guys here, I'll always be in game, so feel free to whisper me in game. -hugs-
