Zeke was annoyed by the fact that yet again an article had been written about him and taken completely out of context. He had actually been really good since his ‘break up’ but everyone had assumed that just because he was partying and having fun he was becoming a raging alcoholic who was spiralling downwards. No matter how much he tried, it would never change the way people perceived him so with the opportunity of a cocktail event he decided to give people what they wanted. A drunk.  He had already pre-drank hard up in his room before pulling on the dress pants and nice shirt that had been offered him, but in typical scruffy Zeke fashion the shirt was a bit wrinkled and his tie was loosely draped around his neck, almost as though he hadn’t bothered to tie it properly.  As he arrived at the cocktail party he made a beeline for the bar, grabbing a drink he didn’t stop to see who else had arrived yet until he heard someone approach him. “If you’re not here for a drink and you’re just going to judge you may as well keep walking.” he muttered.

Kailani had always loved when the mansion got together for occasions like this. Gave them opportunities to socialise and not worry about drama for even a fleeting minute. She’d been catching up with a couple of the girls when she noticed a familiar lanky boy walk in. She remembered Zeke, they’d met when she’d originally entered the mansion, they’d even snuck out and gone clubbing together at some point. He looked frustrated, defeated. Her curiosity getting the better of her she wandered over to him, drink in hand. She’d barely landed at the bar when he spoke, her eyebrow kinking upwards as he did “Gosh i thought you’d remember me better than that..” she tried to joke, finishing off her drink and placing the empty glass on the counter, signally the bartender for another.

Benji smiled as soon as Kailani said his name and then proceeded to get up and greet him. “I couldn’t let you guys have all the fun without me.” he had been a little hesitant to return, but in the end, it was something he couldn’t miss out on. “Okay, party started when you got here, but it got so much better when I walked through those doors.” he wrapped his arms around her for a hug, laughing lightly. “Too fucking long. What have you been up to huh?”

Kailani smiled and nodded “You have a good point - Plus, what’s reckless without you, Right?” she laughed “I seem to remember you being centre stage most of the show..” she pointed out - eyebrow kinking upwards challengingly as she looked up at him. “I’ll agree to settle for that” she teased. She had missed him a lot, she honestly hadn’t deliberately fallen out of contact with him - she had pushed everyone away. It had never been intentional. It was the only way she’d ever known how to deal with her problems back then. She pulled back to look up at him, letting her eyes roll for a moment “Can we at least have a couple of drinks - or smoke before we dive into this conversation?” she asked wishfully. Though he had been one of the people she’d been excited to see, he was also one of the few she had been scared to see. Her personal life had very much remained deliberately out of the spotlight. She’d kept it that way for a reason.. but she also knew coming back meant inevitably telling the people she’d cared about at some point or another and for now.. She wasn’t ready to dive into such serious conversation. She just wanted to have fun. So she’d continue to deflect. “You however can tell me how incredible your life has been if you want..”

She shrugged her shoulders. “Well least you can’t doubt my confidence” she laughed. She smiled as she pulled away from her hug, looking at the girl in front of her. “I’ve got a store opening up in London in the next few months, club warehouse has been marked as one of the hottest places in New York to party and now on top of that I’m planning the wedding of the century for moi” she said rattling of the list of things happening in her life. “I’m doing really good actually, I’ve been crazy busy.. but I couldn’t be happier at the moment. How about you my love??”

“Never have babe” she laughed glancing over at the blonde. She looked her over quickly - though they’d worked together, they still hadn’t seen each other in a while. “You look so great Blair - you are absolutely glowing..” she smiled. “Duh of course it has. You truly are the definition of Killing it” she laughed “but then again, of course you are.” Kailani nodded. She’d always admired Blair, her strength and her determination. She was definitely someone Kailani had always looked up to. “I’m so happy for you, honestly you deserve it.” she nodded “Me? I’ve been good! The last couple of years have been tough..” she admitted “But i’m good - busy - but good. Still modelling, getting into acting now as well.”

Benji had decided to go check out the rest of the mansion after making sure his son was okay in his room. Noah seemed pretty content with the book he was reading. Benji was so glad that his son was a lot more behaved that he was. When he spotted Kailani out by the pool it was only natural for the blonde to go over and greet her. She was one of the people that he’d actually been looking forward to seeing again. “Damn, was going to push you in…” he joked after she turned around. “And lets be real….the party didn’t start until I arrived.”

Kailani instantly knew the source of the voice - someone she hadn’t seen in far too long. Honestly she wasn’t sure he was going to come back, he’d had so much happen to him in the years of reckless. So much drama and pain. However - she’d never been more excited hearing his voice. “Benjamin Preston..” she laughed “Gosh i wasn’t sure you’d come!” she pushed herself up from the side of the pool, making her way over to him “Ahh - incorrect. Party definitely started when i got here” she laughed, wrapping her arms around him in a hug “It’s been too long”

Charlotte was almost at the end of her own personal little exploration of the house, she only had the pool to check out now.. the pool that held some of her best and worst memories. She’d saved it last, but as she approached she noticed a girl sitting there and a grin pulled at her lips and she momentarily pushed those memories to the back of her mind. “Holy crap, Kailani! It’s so good to see you!” she said as she sat down next to the girl and hugged her from the side. “What have you been up to?”

Kailani looked over at the girl that slid down to sit beside her, a wide grin spreading on her face. She returned the hug, giving her a gentle squeeze. “Hey Charlotte!” she laughed, looking over at her “Gosh it’s been so long.” she nodded, brushing her fingers through her hair “Me? Oh wow - it’s not something that i wouldn’t say can be summarised to a sentence” she laughed “How have you been?”

Blair turned on her heels upon hearing her name being announced as it was. She had the biggest grin on her face, knowing exactly who it was that pulled up next. “The one and only” she responded cheekily. She quickly walked over to Kailani, wrapping her arms around her friend and ex-reckless housemate. “It’s been too long. How have you been babe?? I seriously can’t believe we are here at the moment”

Kailani Lea couldn’t help but laugh, rolling her eyes playfully at Blair. “Still just as full of yourself i see..” she teased as she enveloped her in a hug. Blair was one of those people you could be completely candid around and she would definitely judge you but only with fair and true honesty and kailani truthfully appreciated it. it’d always been refreshing. “agreed. i can only imagine how busy you’ve been though.” she pointed out “I’m really really good actually - more importantly, how about you?”

kailani was nervous to be back at reckless, though there were a lot of good memories that the mansion held, there were also a lot of bad ones that tied into those. however, she tried to push those to the side. she wanted to give this place a new beginning. hanging out poolside, legs dangling in the clear water as she sat on the ledge. it was so much quieter than she’d remembered, she had yet to run into anyone just yet. at least for the moment. as if like clockwork she heard approaching footsteps, turning to glance behind her and catch sight of the new arrival - “about time someone else crashed the party”

“holy s h i t, how has this mansion not changed one bit in the last five years?” Blair Hastings, one of Reckless’ original bad girls exclaimed as she looked up at the familiar building in front of her. She continued to stare up at the building, so many memories came flooding back to her. Her hand subconsciously grazing over the scar on her thigh– the same one a housemate gave her all those years ago. “I really can’t believe this is actually happening” 

kailani lea was in disbelief that this had actually all ended up happening. when she’d gotten the phone call, she’d agreed thinking it would all fall through. there was no way the show would ever get picked up again. yet here she was, joint placed neatly between her lips as the car pulled up in front of the building. she climbed out of the car, smiling to herself as she spotted the familiar blonde standing in front of the building. nothing else fucking mattered. blair hastings was back too. ‘ thanks ‘ she muttered briefly to the driver as she climbed out of the car, hastily making her way to her old friend ‘Blair Fucking Hastings!’ Kailani laughed ‘god it’s been so long!’

the hawaiian beauty lived by a live fast, die young - free spirited attitude but her world took a completely unexpected downward spiral following reckless’s end. 

last we heard of kailani lea in the reckless mansion, she was admitted following an eating disorder and drug problem - stemming from the constant pressure and expectations of the modelling world she had become a part of. Specialising in high fashion and photography - it was hard to open a magazine that didn’t have kailani’s body plastered through it’s pages. Living a carefree, party lifestyle Kailani had no intentions of changing the way she lived - even down to her disorder and drug problem - no matter what the outcome was. She loved her life exactly the way it was - even if it was toxic and that didn’t change when reckless ended. 

That was until she lost the most important person in her life, her last living relative, her mother passed away - no more than 3 months out of the reckless mansion. Kailani was absolutely devastated. She lost contact with nearly everyone from the reckless mansion, dropped everything to go back to hawaii, trying to pick up the pieces that her mother had left behind and found herself in somewhat of a downwards spiral. she let herself fade from the spotlight for twelve months, allowing herself time to heal and recover. 

this gave Kailani Lea time to reassess her lifestyle - she started to live healthily, conquering her eating disorder and giving up most drugs. she rediscovered her passion for photography and composition and the why she’d begun modelling in the first place. From there she decided to rebrand and relaunch herself. 

Kailani realised how important self love and self care both mentally and physically were and began embodying this in her career, only representing brands and products that promoted a healthy and happy lifestyle, both in print and social media. She even began the face of her old friend Blair’s fashion label where they reconnected once again. Kailani now works full time as a model and brand ambassador as well as running her own photography workshops both in New York and Hawaii. She has also began acting in some smaller tv roles as well. 

Coming back to reckless she can’t wait to reconnect with the people she loves, now with a healthier happier mindframe - but still with that fun loving, crazy, free spirit we all love.
