“Oh my God, so tonight at work, they had a champagne fountain. And no, not just glasses of champagne stacked up- an actual fountain filled with champagne. It was absolutely amazin’!!! I probably stink of Dom Perignon but I don’t give a damn!”
"Are they hiring there? I might quit and apply for a job there" she laughed not really knowing where Jesse worked.
“Ah, fuck me,” Caleb gave a small sigh. “I forgot how time consuming moving was. Why did I even move again? You know what- that’s it. I’m never moving again. Okay, maybe not never…. I don’t know how long I can stand you people.”
Raising a brow she considered if he was talking to her or having an inner monologue. "I'd like to inform you that WE are quite a likeable lot" she smiled and shrugged. "Maybe if you get some help it'll be easier. Want an extra pair of hands?"
“My sister is trying to talk me into making a Tinder account. I’m not that desperate? When did you feel like that was necessary.”
Chuckling Kaitlin shook her head "I never found the need to make an account. I've been to a couple blind dates and the disaster made me keep away from such sites" she said grimacing at the memory of her last blind date and how awful it turned out.
“The movie” she said rolling her eyes. “I’m sure you’d love to cuddle but I’m somewhat taken” she said smirking.
“Ah. So the flirting was just to tease me then?” Carter asks, raising his eyebrows. “I think I’ll pass, sorry.”
Raising a brow as well she watched him "I wouldn't call it flirting. You'd know very well if I was actually flirting " she said and placed her hands in her pockets "suit yourself "

Smiling she went in when he opened the door. She'd never been to the other building of Twin Oaks. "This is nice" she said looking around. "Do you have housemates or is it just you"
"The movie" she said rolling her eyes. "I'm sure you'd love to cuddle but I'm somewhat taken" she said smirking.

"I'll try my best" she said with a shrug. "I'd like to be your friend before anything else,if it makes any sense" she smiled and squeezed his hand.
Laughing Kaitlin nodded "alright, I'll keep that in mind next time" she chuckled and stood. "Are you coming or not?"

Kaitlin smiled and leaned against him as they walked, absorbing his warmth. "My housemate just had a break up and I don't want to open old wounds for her and rub it on her face that I'm with someone " she explained quietly.

He was breathing heavy from the intense kiss they shared. “Would you like to come to my place? I don’t mind if its my place or yours we go to if your sure. I don’t want you to feel rushed.”
Shaking her head she smiled. “I’d love to come to your place, Asher” she whispered and tugged at his shirt. “And if you wait any longer you’d have to unfreeze me first” she said laughing as the wind picked up, blowing her hair into her face.

She felt herself getting lightheaded. Everything around her seemed to vanish and it was just the two of them. The need of oxygen became too much to ignore and she pulled back, panting. "We need to...we need to go" she whispered against his chest, just starting to feel the disapproving stares of a few people passing them. Looking up she smiled shyly "my place or yours?"
Laughing she patted his shoulder "it'll get worse every year " she said mischievously. "You're not old...you're just ahead of schedule in your twenties" she said with a shrug.
Shrugging she stood up from the chair. "There's a new horror movie out. And I'm not brave enough to watch it alone" she said biting her lip a bit embarrassed.
"There ya go!" She smiled and looked around. "Where is your son by the way?" She asked thinking about when was the last time she saw the little guy.
Smiling she nodded. "So...cancelled date" she said pointing to him "and no plan at all" she said pointing at herself with pursed lips. "What shall we do?" She asked with a raised brow tapping her finger on the arm rest.
"Ah...I recently moved here...been to Chicago for over 2 years though" she said and shrugged. "13 years...wow... how old is your daughter? If you don't mind me asking? " she asked smiling. She hoped she didn't scare him off, she was just curious.
