[Parker hasn’t talked to many people in the group yet, but she has been enjoying her time with them so far. She’s gotten more sleep in the last few days than she has in the last month. At least, that’s what it feels like. To be with a group again is a blessing her her because she knows she’s protected and cared for. She doesn’t mind helping them out, but she hasn’t talked to Kris yet, so she doesn’t even know if more than two or three people know that she’s even staying with the group.
Despite feeling safe with the group, Parker hasn’t bothered to use any of their supplies. She’s been using the water and food she had with her when she found them, but now they’re running very low. She needs to take the plunge and use the group’s supplies. As she comes upon them, she finds herself getting excited. The food she’s found lately have either been expired or something she never would have touched before the apocalypse. Being a picky eater is hard when there aren’t any alternatives. She grabs a random can and reads the label. Tomato soup. She shakes her head with a smile on her face.] God. I never thought I’d be happy to have tomato soup.
[Kaitlyn really liked where the group was now. The mall gave her a lot of space to explore and if she ever got lost there were maps that would tell her exactly where she was. For the first time since she joined the group her personal belongings aren’t with Alex and instead they’re in the kids play area she found in an open section of the mall. She had gotten enough furniture to build a bed sheet fort surrounded by a tall, fake tree. Since setting up ‘camp’ in the area she’s been playing house, having gotten any stuffed animals she could find and giving them the spots she thinks her family would take in her little home.
Now she was at the group’s supplies looking for a few cans of food her family would like for her ‘kitchen’. She’s holding two cans and trying to decide between the two when she hears someone speak up nearby. All she really catches onto is “tomato soup” so she makes her way over and looks at the woman.] What kind of tomato soup is that? [She asks, bouncing on her toes a bit to see inside the can.] Does it have Spaghetti O’s in it?
