Every once in a while I get back into ln and I mourn these doomed children

the more I remember about LeviHan the more insane I get like jfc. what a goddamn SHIP. what an epic FUMBLE by Isayama.

they were the ONLY ones that really understood each other to their core ok their telepathy was literally CANON. and they were the ONLY veterans who would have been left after the war had Hange survived. the ONLY veterans who both survived the fall of Wall Maria AND got to see the ocean. Hange literally dove into a RIVER to save Levi's life and nursed him back to health risking being tried for "treason" by the Yeagerists who were more than happy to see him dead. Hange WANTED to just run away with him but they were both too duty-bound to do that (and they don't even get rewarded for that jfc).

it pains me to this day that Isayama could not just fucking let them go off and retire in a cottage hidden in the woods somewhere after the war, with Hange studying botany (and whatever else the fuck her beautiful scientific mind desires) and Levi idk learning to paint and recreating the likenesses of their fallen comrades so history will never forget their sacrifices?? like fine if you wanted to keep them platonic because "SnK iS nOt tHaT kiNd oF ManGA" (which is bullshit because EreMika and AruAni got their moments) but just fucking, let them both live.
