Tried being intentionally looser with this. Didn't sketch it first and kept the blending of colors to a minimum. I think I like shading things using hatch lines.

Sometimes art just needs to be a fun little experiment for yourself.

Thinking of starting my webcomic up again. I’d want to re-do the pages I already have and maybe tweak the intro a bit.

Seeing all these indie projects and stories taking off, I really want to get back into it.

I’m a character designer for a short film right now but once that project cools down I feel like it would be a good time.

I had a really lovely dream last night and I wanted to write it down so I don’t forget it.

I had a little wooden cabinet on my wall that some birds had decided to nest in. They were beautiful. They looked like swallows but had patches of dark reds and yellows within their dark iridescent backs.

They were sleepy and warm and so so soft. They had no issues with me picking them up. I could scoop about a dozen of them into my arms and they would just snuggle into me and each other.

And they purred like cats when I pet them.

It was such a comforting dream.
