Christian had gone out to where the camera crew was to lend a helping hand. He usually things that had to do with music such as music videos or short video concepts but he was still part of the industry and knew many others that worked in similar areas. He was focused on trying to help his friend out with a camera glitch and that’s why he had gone over and stayed till the end of the shooting. He would take some peaks at the actors as they were working to make sure the images were similar and catching what was going on. Though the actors there didn’t know there was much of a problem behind the camera, they didn’t really need to. He had come to help and a few others were there already helping out.  He was finally done with helping them and as everyone was taking a break from all the filming, acting and other various things at play, he had gotten out his own laptop to try editing some last minute work of his own before going back to help out with the camera when needed. He heard the females voice and noticed right away it was the actress, he looked up and over to her before replying; “Hhm? Oh this? Ah it took me a couple of days to film actually. But that’s only because of the move of locations and different weather problems we had faced. Sit down, want to see a bit more?” 

Her eyes widen. “I can? Are you sure?” It is not often she gets to have a sneak peak of the editing process for anything. She should know because she has made attempts before in the dramas she has been in but they never fail to turn her down despite using her best pout or offering them food and drinks in exchange to see the final result. She takes up his offer instantly because she would be a fool if she didn’t, leaning in close to the screen to see what it was that he was editing. The only thing she knew of on the screen was the footage itself. Everything else was windows of things she does not know or recognize, unsure of what they do but she knew they help with making the end product look as good as it does. 

“Did you teach yourself how to edit or did you take lessons for that? I always feel bad for the editors in any shows I have been in because we film for hours and knowing that there are people who go through all that and make changes to have everything looking great is just astounding. Especially knowing that some sacrifice their sleep or their free time to get their work done. I just have a huge respect for the filming crew in general.”

He should probably tell her he doesn’t even like coffee – but there’s a look of pure excitement plastered across feminine features and Taemin didn’t have the heart to break her spirit, instead, he sucks it up and taste every single cup of the black liquid she puts before him. Even if he wasn’t fond of the stuff – her mixtures were especially bitter, and even he could make the deduction that it wasn’t working out.

“Jus’…. a little…bitter.” He comments when she takes the cup back, his thin frame leaning back and short legs sprawling out before him; hands are sunk into the front pockets of his zip-up. A sniff of his nose that has the feature wrinkling up, tongue running across the front of his teeth. There’s a ruckus behind him and before he knows it, the gods have blessed him and there’s food placed before.

—-He doesn’t need to be told twice to dig in.

“Huh?—– my paintin’?” He asks through a mouthful of crumbs, pausing before he chokes himself with the velocity of his eating.  “Been workin’ on a new series— portraits o’ people weighed down by their guilty pleasure. S’wild thing to see visualized.”

“You do not have to lie to make me feel better.” She sighs, appreciating his attempt at consoling her either way. Someday, she will master the art of coffee. Today was just not that day for her yet. But surely, that day will come. She knows of it. Persistence will never fail you, which is how she got to where she is now, to begin with. While she may not have been the most talented, she certainly makes up for it with her dedication, she likes to think. 

Hearing him talk about the subject matter for his painting has her stopping mid-bite, having not expected something so somber and dark to be his muse but then again, that tended to be his line of work, wasn't it? “Wow. That sounds very interesting. What kind of guilty pleasures have you included so far? Other than the obvious ones like smoking or drinking, I figure. Makes me question if I have a guilty pleasure when I am rather open with what I dislike and like.”

To say that the past two days have been a fairy tale of sorts (pun intended, of course) with her being in the midst of Twiceland would be an understatement. In fact, since most of Twice’s families attended the concerts, with Sana’s parents being a part of the audience as well has made her feel so over the moon about it. The female idol’s heart was swelling with jubilation at the fact that they were able to hold a concert this early in their careers. And even though Sana and Seungyeon have had a short conversation backstage, she felt like she didn’t show her appreciation to her unnie well enough with her being overwhelmed by the concert and the festivities.

Which is why when she had the chance to finally settle down in her dorm, she pulls out her phone begins to type up quick messages to her with a serene smile on her face.

[ SMS: Seungyeon unnie  ♡ ] Unnie thank you so much for coming to Twiceland today! I know our Jeongyeon loved the fact that you made time out of your busy schedules to come out and see us.

[ SMS ] Did you enjoy the concert? I sure hope you did, to be honest! ^ ^

She was worried that she would not have been able to attend the concert. While Jeongyeon had told her before that it would have been alright if she was not able to go, Seungyeon still wanted to do her best in ensuring that she would be able to see her sister’s first concert. With enough persuasion and hard work, she managed to clear her day completely of any schedules and joined the many thousands that went to see TWICE. One hand held the fan-made banners that one of the fansites were kind enough to give while the other was fishing her phone out of her bag when she hears the chime go off.

[ SMS - Sana♥ ] I enjoyed the concert. All of you looked and sounded amazing. Ah~ so proud of all of you! You did very well. 

[ SMS - Sana♥ ] Now you just have to focus on the comeback, right? I hope this round of promotions goes well! As always, cheering for you!

❝ I’m very glad I was able to help, despite not really knowing what to say! ❞ She practically chimes, hands clasping together with a bright grin plastered all over her features. She comes to a stop upon hearing her questions, thoughtfully tapping her chin with the index finger of her left hand. She thinks about all that has happened so far, silently deciding for herself whether or not 2017 has treated her well so far. Gaze wanders off, lips momentarily forming a thin line; the smile reappears as soon as she had made her decision, eyes landing back on the older female.  ❝ Isn’t it a weird how fast time goes by? When I was younger it always felt like forever until either my birthday or Christmas finally came around, and now it happens in the blink of an eye. Hm.. I’m not sure, I think I feel positive about the year so far, it has been treating me well, plus our Japanese debut is around the corner! As for January– yes. It wasn’t bad, nor super good, it was a good amount of everything. ❞

Her words are accompanied by a few nods, smile never leaving. Certainly Momo hopes that the rest of the year will just go as smoothly, preferably with no uncomfortable instances; though, that may be impossible.  ❝ What about you? How has 2017 been treating you so far, unnie? ❞ The younger finally asks, shifting in her position to have a better look at Seungyeon. 

“That’s right. I heard about the Japanese debut.” On one hand, she felt proud and happy for the girls. It means they will get to appeal and bring in new fans with the debut, following building up a strong fanbase there for themselves and in the case of the Japanese members, they would get to enjoy their time being back in their home country even if for a little while. She pouts to herself a little. She misses Jeongyeon as it is when they are in the same country so she can only imagine how the longing will only increase when Jeongyeon leaves for a different country. Even if the country is just right next door and she could easily pay Jeongyeon a visit if her schedules allow her to do so if she cannot bear the longing. 

“My 2017 so far has been relatively calm. Other than the occasional schedule here and there, for the most part, I have spent my time recharging myself and deliberating the next project to take on. I am being more careful and particular with what I choose because I want my role to challenge myself as an actress.” She had mentioned in an interview before how she wishes to take on the challenge of being in a movie and hopefully, she gets to fulfill that this year. “Does being Jeongyeon’s cheerleader counts as anything? Because I have been doing that this year as well. I cannot give up my position of her personal cheerleader, after all.” She jokes with a light laugh.

“Ah, I wonder how it feels like to have your younger sister work in this same grueling industry. If my sister were to become an idol, I think I’d have my hair ripped off because of holding myself back from yelling at everyone who talks badly of her.” She could imagine herself being oh so protective in that sort of situation, of course. Aside from that, being compared to each other, regardless if she was being referred to as the “positive” sibling or not…she wasn’t sure how to cope with such a pressure. “I see. If what I heard from one of the members is correct, they’ll be having a comeback and a concert, right? Tell her to take good care of herself and eat lots in preparation!” Despite not knowing the younger personally, she guessed that her worry for her was that deep because she knew how stressful these sort of stuff was. “I have to fight for it still? Hm, I’m not really good with fights.” She joked, but of course, she would still work hard to be Seungyeon’s head cheerleader, as they put it. “But I think she has attempted to do so, though. I think I heard from Yerim that they talked during the athletic championship meet.”

When the other began to laugh at the idea she presented, Joohyun wore a baffled expression. Was the thought that ridiculous to her? When she hears her reasoning, Joohyun couldn’t help but shake her head. “Ah, no! I bet you’d do great. Besides, that’s what training is there for, right? Don’t worry, I’m not trying to recruit you in Red Velvet at the moment.” She chuckles, shaking her head. “Ah, Seulgi beat me to it? It would be nice if you bought two, though! If you ever do so and give it to your sister, I hope you both like it! Remember, my pen or marker is always ready for some signing.” A playful smile that was flashed towards the younger, indicating that she was, indeed, implying something with her words.

“I think more than anyone else, I wonder how my parents must have felt or feel to this day having two days in the entertainment industry.” It is difficult as it is to not feel the presence of one person in the house after years of being used to see one another first thing in the morning and the last thing in the night, what more when it is two? Especially at the ages that the both of them had discovered their dreams and started pursuing it, she was sure that her parents spent many nights wondering how to adapt their lifestyle to better fit the ones that their daughters will be on from this point forth. “They do have a concert coming up! I am excited for them. It is their first concert so I imagine that they have a lot of things they wish to showcase on their own stage. I anticipate the performances.” It is too early to tell if she was going to tear up a little seeing her sister on a big stage with hundreds of passionate fans cheering for her and her groupmates but Seungyeon knows she will definitely be taking many photos on that day. 

“Red Velvet is perfect the way it is now so it is for the best that there will be no recruitments for the group anytime soon.” A combination of the five of them sounding the best and performing the best they ever have as five and also because she does not wish to experience the pitch forks the fans would carry if a new member was to join the group. “I’ll be sure to get both albums and ask for your signatures. In return, if there is anyone you wish to have a signature from that is an actor or actress, I’ll do my best to get for you. Speaking of which, do you have a favorite actor or actress?”

She looked only at her as she replied so. It was obvious that the girl was getting tense in front of her and Marie only got worried while seeing that. She smiled too even though she wasn’t buying any of it. She shrugged one of her shoulders and then nodded. “Alright, alright. So you and your family, you’re all well right?” 

She really did not believe one word she was saying. Being good at hiding her feelings, Marie would recognize any person trying to hide what they really felt. Especially when they behaved just the way she did. Seungyeon was an actress and a really busy one, so Marie kind of knew she didn’t have time to break down or even think about her own emotions or thoughts. So she tried to support her the best way she could. As soon as she saw her hands tremble, Marie moved her hand on top of Seungyeon’s and kept rubbing the girl’s back.  As soon as she moves her head down Marie knows it’s going to be when she’s going to have her heart break. With no hesitation she pulls the girl into her embrace. Not minding that they were both in a coffee shop. Now what mattered was to try and cheer her up, letting her know that she was there. 

“Why are you sorry? Don’t be sorry for being human.” She said with a smile, rubbing her back still while smiling tenderly at the girl. Keeping her in Marie’s embrace so she could feel safe enough to cry everything she had been holding on to. “Just cry and don’t speak. Right now nothing matters other than you.”

Seungyeon does not say it but she feels sorry because she was making things awkward or difficult. The reason why she has gone on for so long without anyone know what she felt is because it is hard watching them not know what to do, fumbling and being at loss as to what they should do in response to her letting her walls come down and bearing her soul to see. Somehow she becomes the one who ends up comforting them instead even though she was the one who needed the comforting. And because it is a pain to see them struggling so much, she saves them the trouble and internalizes everything, a habit she has picked up since the beginning of her trainee days. She never saw the need to change or get rid of the habit so it stuck with her since then. 

It is a little embarrassing, crying as much and as hard as a child would but crying was the only option she has left in hopes of lifting the heaviness that has been plaguing her mind and her body. The kind of heaviness and tired that even sleep would not help in getting rid of. “Sometimes I feel that I am not doing enough. As the eldest daughter to my parents, as the eldest sister to my siblings, as a friend to the ones I keep close or as the actress trying to make a name for herself in this saturated industry where your name and face can easily be forgotten if you are not careful. Do not get me wrong. I am happy with how things are going for me and while success is not coming to me as quickly or as a bountiful, as compared to my colleagues, I am still proud of the work I am doing. I just feel that at times, I am not doing as much or as good as I am doing in my life. And that scares me because being a disappointment is the last thing I wish to be in any aspects of my life.”

even though in all honesty, she doesn’t know the character she was talking about, chungha is doubtless that she won’t be watching the drama being tackled. from the breakdown of the character’s personality only, it has already captured her attention. “i haven’t followed any of your shows before, unnie, but i will make sure to watch this one soon.” she reassures. the soon that has been mentioned by the idol isn’t fixed when yet. all she knows is that she will check it out soon. with too much enjoyment and relaxation from the topic they are talking about, chungha forgot to notice the continuing knead of the older’s hands on her sore muscles from the schedules she has attended. upon realizing, she mindfully moves apart from the female’s hold, a chuckle slipping from her thin pair of lips as she folds her hands atop her lap. “i must have enjoyed your massage too much that i didn’t notice. did i wear you out, unnie?” with brows tightly knit to each other with concern, she moves her gaze upon the actress’ features; from their edges to the curves, it was pleasing to look at. "it won’t be distasteful to the eyes when someone watches you from the television. you’re gorgeous, unnie!”

Talking about Dahae made Seungyeon realized that it is going to be a year since the drama has aired, wondering how time has managed to pass by so quickly and how things were able to be different from how it was back then in a span of a few months since then. Time can be equally fascinating and terrifying in that sense and maybe that explains as to why as humans, we wish to understand more about it. But more than that, wishing to have more time in the world. “You do not have to watch my dramas just because I am in them and you know me, silly. You can watch any drama you want and it would make me happy to know that there is a show out there that has touched you in some way like how some of the shows I have been in possibly done the same for others as well.” And that would be the highest form of a compliment she could receive as an actress, she thinks. Seungyeon lets out a sheepish laugh when Chungha moves away from her hands, had not realized that she had not stopped for a moment in the middle of her talking to give the massage, hoping that she was feeling a little more refreshed now.  “No, you do not have to worry about wearing me out. My dogs would be a different story.” With both dogs enjoying their play time like how the next dog does along with her kitten getting increasingly playful and mischievous each day, you can imagine the amount of running around and dividing the attention she has to do with each pet. It is exhausting and a little overwhelming when you add what she does for a living into the mix but when she has them curling up next to her when she lies down in her bed after a long day, she thinks to herself that she would not have it any other way nonetheless. “Eh? What are you saying all of a sudden? If anyone is the gorgeous one, it would be you but thank you for the compliment.”

Professionalism. A fancy word Taemin thinks has been overused so much that it’s become a standard in the workplace; of course, it’s not unjust. But for his age at the time of debut, professionalism definitely wasn’t something others expected him to take on as well as he did. The long times away from home used to be much more taxing, too, but he’s gotten used to it by now; after all, he’d made a flight to and from Japan in one day to perform at a festival just earlier last year. Seungyeon, too, was someone Taemin admired; after the little bit of MCing he did before, he’d definitely come to realise that his skills in the field were not advanced; he felt pretty inferior when he thought about it, and it almost burned away at him. He’d been admiring the work of an MC a little more, between Jonghyun’s radio host skills, and Key’s MCing.. adding Seungyeon’s previous MC position on Inkigayo, it made him more aware than he’d been previously. He admired her for it, as it was something he wanted to work better at. “Isn’t it just obvious this way? I’m not a human, I’m actually an alien, sent to raise the standard of the work ethic in Korea.” He snorts, more amused with himself than Seungyeon probably was.

“Is it awkward? I don’t think you need to be so formal with me personally — after all, you said it yourself; we’re not strangers.” He pauses, absentmindedly shifting his fingers on his coffee cup while his eyes momentarily follow where Seungyeon’s are going before turning the better part of his attention back to her. “Besides, time has passed and I’ve grown, too, but the same trainee is still here. Like this, I don’t really know if formality is required between us. Besides, we’re same-aged friends, right? I feel like reaching out to those my age has become a little more important to me. Is that weird?”

Seungyeon playfully rolls her eyes at his answer before playing along with it. It would not be Taemin if he did not have this special brand of humor at his disposal, a mix of sarcasm and off the fly comments mixed in together. “Ah so that explains how EXO got their aliens concept for their debut, doesn’t. Everything has come full circle. If there were any reporters around right now, they would be having a field day with this and the next thing you know, they will have a photo of you underneath big, bold headlines of ‘Taemin reveals the secret about himself and the creation of EXO’ Oh what a sensation that would be and it is only going to be the second month of the year soon. Are you sure you are able to reveal such information to the public? I would imagine that you would be working with the Blue House.” Well then again, the Blue House and the president has not had a great image since the scandal that broke out last year so maybe the potential of someone possibly leaking their alien ancestry to the public would be the least of their concerns at the moment.

“Well, it is not so much awkward with you personally. I would not be able to joke with you as I do if I did feel awkward. I would say it is more to not knowing how to act or be like when I am with you and there are others around.” For while he may say that it is okay for the both to drop all formalities, they may be others who insists that there should be a level of respect that they should regard each other with the use of titles, regardless of how close they are. “That’s right we are the same age. I keep forgetting that you are not the same age as Jongin.” With how close Taemin is to Jongin, it is no wonder that she keeps forgetting that Taemin is still the older one between the both of them. “And to answer your question, no, it is not weird at all. I think there is a form of bond and understanding that can truly be felt with those as the same age as us or at least, around the same age.”

—- the reasons to why mina was so drawn to seungyeon were many. first and foremost was probably how close she was with jungyeon, as an unnie, and it was due to jungyeon she had met the bandmate’s younger sister. seungyeon were also the same age as mina’s older brother, whom she no longer was speaking to as much as she wished to, and missed dearly. but she was overall very drawn to the elder. 

she had never had the kind of hobbies of figurines, but the hobby itself seemed like a relaxing one. and it brought mina to forget the tiredness she was feeling. she could imagine the shelves she would be able to put the figurines on, and it would be such a small detail that would make an entire room. even the entire hello kitty style was somewhat reminding mina of how her room was styled back home in japan before she had left for korea severals of years ago. a warm smile graced over mina’s features when the elder spoke, she peeked at her through two strands of hair which had fallen down over her face and nodding along, saving each and every single word of what the other was saying in her memory. one thing mina was, that was a good listener. ❝ that sounds so cute, honestly. has jungyeon unnie ever been building figurines with you? ❞ that would be a fun fact about the elder idol who no one else would know. 

❝ most of the pocket monsters are adorable. eevee, pikachu, charmander, squirtle and bulbasaur was my favourites. the walls back home were basically painted with different pokémons when i grew up. ❞ when reaching her teenage years, those posters had been exchanged to posters of male boy groups, korean ones that is, and that was also when mina’s interest for joining a korean idol group began to grow. ❝ squirtle was adorable, overall. hmm, it’s like those animes about mermaids, right unnie? i find those interesting as well. ❞

“Mm I have not had the chance to build any of the figurines with her but she has fun pointing out which figurines I should get next or she is the one who sends me photos of figurines I think I would like through KKT.” Seungyeon always feels warm whenever she gets messages from her sister because messages are their only means of messages nowadays and to see her sending her a message, even if it was a quick one or sending her a photo of something that Jungyeon thinks she would like, it makes Seungyeon’s heart grow fonder for Jungyeon and hoping that they will be able to meet up with one another soon because she misses her so. 

She would not have figured that Mina was someone who liked Pokemon as much as she does because Mina’s impression gave off the impression that she would like something a little more refined and mature like board games but it was nice all the same to hear her speak about her childhood all the same. “Oh~ you must have really liked Pokemon while you were growing up. I do not think there was a particular cartoon that I had to watch on tv because I would watch whatever that was on tv. I would say that the age of children’s shows only really started happening after I grew out of that phase but I remember watching shows like Pororo and Magic Kid Masuri while Jungyeon was still small.” Maybe if Pororo was released earlier in her time, she would be collecting any with Pororo on it instead. “Come to think of it, there is not a lot of shows or animes about mermaids, is there? The first one that comes to mind is Ponyo but that is more of a movie than a show.”

If there was something that was clear between Marie and Seungyeon friendship, it was how Marie felt so mature next to her. Not because Seungyeon was childish, but because she felt such affection for the later, that she could not keep herself from craving the need to protect the latter. She was one of the sweetest people she had ever met. Not to mention she had been her only friend when Marie had come to Seoul. Aside from her cousin. The truth was that she had been worried with the way she had been behaving. Worrying was her constant mood, which had caused Marie to worry in the first place. 

She had asked her about what she felt about being the oldest, and all she could reply was that her parents had it all. Her parents were the one we should worry about because they had it tough and complicated before. It was obvious that it would worry anyone, because there had been no answer for what she felt. “But I’m asking about you, not them.” She knew something was up just because the girl had avoided the question, it was the easiest way one could realize the other was hurting. She was an only girl and she knew about having to carry responsibilities on her shoulders. She also thought that older kids were like only kids. They had the whole world in their minds.

“It’s dumb for you to say that in the first place.” She shook her head shortly and then smiled a bit as her arm reached to curl up around the female’s shoulder. “Everyone has worries, everyone has reasons to cry. Everyone suffers, Seungyeon. It does not mean you can’t. You are a member of the family, but you’re also human. If you’re upset you say it.  How fair would it be if you found out no one told you how hurt they were because they knew you hurt too? Your parents are suffering a lot, but if you are, you can cry too. You’re not a robot.” She began to cherish her by patting her back. “If you need talk to me since I’m not your family. But no matter how small it is your pain, you need to learn to accept that it exists. And that like everyone you need to feel it, otherwise you’ll get a depression darling.” Even if Marie barely talked about her pain, she knew how it would end. She was now near of having an alcohol addiction because of it and the thought of having her dongsaeng going the same way, made her heart ache.

“I like to think that when you talk about me, I am synonymous with my family. So if you are asking about me, you are also asking about my family in a way.” It is an attempt on her part to lighten things up, forcing herself to make her tone bright and cheery because maybe if she does it long enough, she would start feeling the emotions she is faking long. She was an actress. Isn’t this the basic of what she should be able to do? 

Everyone suffers, Seungyeon. It does not mean you can’t. Those words hit her harder than they should have, biting down on her bottom lip so that it would not be made obvious how her lips were quivering or how her hands were trembling, shoving them onto her lap to have them out of Marie’s sight. Seungyeon likes to think she was beginning to get a grip on her emotions with the deep breath she takes and the heavy exhale that follows afterward but when she feels the small gesture of comfort in the forms of pats on her back and how the soft and gentle words of Marie were soothing her heart just like how her mother’s presence would have the same effect on her, Seungyeon knew that she was not able to keep it up anymore. 

But Seungyeon tries her best still to the very end, laughing off the concern and reaffirming that she was alright until at some point the laughter does not sound like laughter anymore and she has her head down as she tries to quell her cries with her hands clamped over her mouth. She had not meant to ruin the mood by being like this. She had not thought she was going to be this way in front of a dear friend. “I’m sorry”

Proud smile appears on the younger girls features, offering a nod of her head as a reply to what the older had said. Frankly, she hadn’t really tried to be super funny, or to make her unnies day better – in fact, she didn’t even know Seungyeon’s day had been bad to begin with. Still, it was great to be responsible for the change of mood. ❝ Oh, I’m glad I could do that, Seungyeon unnie! ❞ Momo chimes, though brows furrowing soon after, asking expression appearing on her face.  ❝ Why has it been terrible to begin with? Do you want to talk about it, unnie? I’ll listen! ❞

It’s a honest offer, if there was anything further she could do – she’d do it. It wouldn’t be a bother, not to her. Momo had known Seungyeon for a while already anyway. Considering she was the sister of her roommate and member Jeongyeon. She had seen the older female often enough to be comfortable around her, comfortable enough to offer comfort when it is needed.

Seungyeon gives a small smile and a shake of her head. “It is okay. I am already feeling better with you and I have forgotten what had happened by now.” It was just one of those days where you woke up feeling that the day was going to be bad and it ends up being just that throughout the entire day, leaving you unable to shake off the heaviness in your heart for you are unable to catch a breather for even a second. And while the offer was appreciated, she did not have the heart to talk about it just yet and so she shall leave it for another time if she ever remembers it the next time. She looks up when she’s offered tissue, reaching over for a few to pat her eyes dry. They were tears of joy but mixed with a touch of frustration and sadness. They work so hard each and every day yet some people choose not to acknowledge their hard work and focus on their mistakes and shortcomings. However, this isn’t the main reason her tears flow. She is genuinely happy to have an older female role model around them all. She knew Jeongyeon admired her sister a lot. 

She’s so intertwined with their previous conversation that her member’s schedule slips her mind. Although individual schedules aren’t as frequent, it’s one of her “responsibilities” to be aware. “Ah, It slipped my mind! She really enjoys MCing!” She pats the tissue under her eyes once more before folding it away in the palm of her hand, “After Inkigayo is finished, will you start your new drama soon? Eonni told me it’s called  ‘My Only Love Song’.” She places a hand on her cheek, big brown eyes glancing up as she lets out a blissful sigh, “It sounds so romantic!” 

Seungyeon lets out a hearty laugh at the expression that Jihyo has on right now, unable to help herself from giving the girl a few pats on the head with a fond look. While she had an idea that she would come to love the other eight girls as much as her own sister, she did not think that she would find them as adorable as they do, making her feel like she was more of their mother than anything. Not that she is complaining. She is flattered that the girls feel comfortable to be as carefree and relaxed as they are with her because they did not have to get to know her because she is simply a sister to a member of the group but they have made the efforts to form a bond with her either way and Seungyeon thinks once again, how is it possible that there are people who could possibly dislike these girls? 

“My upcoming drama is being released soon, yes! I finished filming before the end of last year and so it would not be long until there are more teasers of the drama is released. I would love to tell you more about what the drama is about but sadly I am not able to just yet. However, I hope that it will be a story that people will enjoy watching as much as I had fun to film it. There was never a boring day on set, especially when you are filming with someone like Jonghyun oppa and Jaejin oppa.”

“Ah, I feel assured now.” Though it might have sounded like some kind of sarcastic statement, Joohyun was actually sincere about it. A small chuckle slipped past her lips as a smile was returned towards the younger. She was glad that her little attempt to lighten up the atmosphere was a tiny bit successful. “Oh, right. You have a sister from TWICE.” TWICE was the rising girl group of their generation, no doubt. Joohyun didn’t know how it felt like to be compared to her sibling since from the very beginning, most of their traits were very different, and the career path they both chose were especially so. It must have hurt to hear words of comparison between your sibling and yourself, especially when most negative commentaries are directed towards you. “I’m sure you and Jeongyeon are both working hard, right? People really need to stop making baseless comparisons…but I’ll cheer for you! All you’ll need is my cheering so there’s no need to listen to all of them.” Her own childish remark made her chuckle.

“It has been that long. But honestly…I really lost count.” She snickers, hiding her face between the magazine that she was idly flipping through earlier on. “Well, I’m happy for your acting career, as well! But hm, I wonder if you continued on and became a member of Red Velvet.” A knowing glance was then shot towards the younger. It would honestly be pretty amazing to have all of them who trained together also debut in the same group. But alas, life had a different plan for Seungyeon and she seemed happy with her choice, no matter the consequence she sometimes faced. She’d later on face that even if she became an idol or not, anyway. “Are you going to buy a copy of our mini album? Please buy the one with my face as the cover. She laughs. 

It was refreshing and a little amusing when someone forgets or does not know that Jeongyeon was her sister because Seungyeon was sure that most people would know by now with how often it was brought up by the media or by herself in interviews, able to hear Jeongyeon’s voice whining at her whenever she shared stories about the both of them as kids and chuckling. “We are but in the case of Jeongyeon, it has especially been busy for her ever since the MAMA Awards but she has never once complained.” Those were one of the many times where she realized her baby sister was no longer the baby she carried around in her arms as a kid. “Am I getting you as my personal cheerleader? I do not know how Jeongyeon would feel about that. You might have to compete with her for the head cheerleader position in my life! It may give Jeongyeon the push she needs to start talking with you girls because she has mentioned to me before how she wishes to get to know all of you and who knows, this may be a great start for that.” Something about seeing a girl group befriending and cheering on another girl group is always heart warming to see and maybe because Seungyeon is so used to seeing the media playing once girl group against another as rivals when both groups can be equally successful, popular and friends with one another at the same time.  

“Me? As a member of Red Velvet?” She imagines it for a moment and cannot stop the fits of laughter she breaks out into afterward, having to take a few deep breaths to calm herself down. “Sorry. I just, I just think I would not be able to pull any of the concepts that you have done before so all the more respect to all of you for being to pull off each one.” Maybe if it was more of the mature concepts like Automatic and Be Natural she would have been able to do but the group was the best it is now and she is happy for all five girls. “Mm~ no promises. Seulgi asked me to buy a copy of her cover recently as well. Looks like I have to buy two! I could give one to Jeongyeon as well.”

As per usual it was crazy in the car, for being in the same vehicle with her group mates always calls for it. Sana instinctively drowns out the noise, focusing in on replying instead with her lips poked out habitually.

[ SMS: Seungyeon unnie  ♡ ]  Ah.. That’s true. I think I’ve noticed that with celebrity couples. Whenever they go on a variety show they’re like ‘and how did you *insert significant others’ name here* meet?’ I can imagine it can get very old, real quick!

[ SMS ] Mm, but very rarely lately. We’re always just so tired when we get home that we all just pass out ):

[ SMS ] Yay! That’s great~ I’ll be seeing you then and the rest of the family. I’m excited! Hopefully my parents can come out to Seoul then, too! It would be great if all of our families can bond after, eh?

[ SMS - Sana♥ ] It would be nice if more celebrities were able to date happily and openly as Rain and Kim Taehee does. They are an amazing couple. 

[ SMS - Sana♥ ] Oh no. I hope you girls are not working yourself too hard! Practice is important but your rest is just as important, if not more. 

[ SMS - Sana♥ ] It would be a pleasure to meet the family of the other members and see how the girls are able to be raised into the fine ladies they are today. Even if your family are not able to attend, you and the other girls are regarded as a part of our family as well so you or any of the girls are not alone.

You will be touring for the next two months and that has not included the schedules you might have in between the tour. At times like this, I wonder if you are hiding the fact that you are not a human for to be on the road for a few months at a time is a daunting task and I do not know how you or the other members are able to do it each time.” They may be of the same age but Taemin always felt older than she was due to his debut in the industry at the mere age of fifteen or the amount of professionalism and maturity Taemin showcases each time when it comes to his work, whether it be as SHINee’s Taemin or solo artist Lee Taemin. She can understand why people dubbed him as the company’s ace in her time training in SM because it leaves you wondering what is he not capable of doing when you see him pulling off whatever project he gets himself into, realizing then and there that being a performer is what he was meant to be.

“Will your family be taking care of your dogs? You can leave Adam and Eve with me and I would not mind. I am sure my dogs would be happy to make new friends, though maybe my kitten will be terrified by the sudden increase of dogs in the house. Either way, I would enjoy meeting Adam and Eve some day.” Taking a deep breath, she lets out a sigh before she was staring out of the window, watching the people passing by the cafe one at a time. “If I am to be honest, it feels a little awkward to speak to you again because while we know each other and are not strangers to one another, I guess because it has been some time and the seniority that comes into play that makes me feel like I should be more formal with you.”
