It’s been a while

Ah! 2017 has been an eye-opener. I laid low on social media. I dunno. Maybe because it broke my heart that some people take offense instead of inspiration when I post some things. And I usually don’t let other people’s opinion affect me. But the reason it did, it’s because the people who took offense are the ones I care for and want to inspire.

And so I realized who are the true people around me. The ones who will have the courage to tell me what I’m doing wrong and guide me to the right path. The ones who will leave me in the shadows and pretend. I know who motivates me and keeps it real.  Now, I know who I can truly trust and who to keep my distance with. I’ll just sit back but not hold back.

I am fierce and strong and full of fire. I will not hold back my passion and the fire that burns inside of me. I will always be that friend who will stay up all night to help, who will listen, who will have the shoulders to cry on and the open arms to hug. I am not a perfect person. I make a lot of mistakes. But I really appreciate those people who stay with me after knowing who I really am.
