Request: Request: Could you do one where Shawn and you have a crush on each other and one night they confess there love and end up dating.
“You’re staring, again,” I heard someone saying from behind and turning around I saw Susan, one of the makeup artists.
“What? No, I wasn’t,” I mumbled but I was fully aware of the fact that I was. But I couldn’t help myself, Shawn looked so good standing on the empty stage as he was doing sound-check with his guitar in his hands.
“I really don’t understand why you are doing this, you should just tell him,” she sighed and stepping next to me we watched him both. He was laughing on something one of the technicians said and God, he was so cute.
“Because I simply can’t,” I replied chewing on my bottom lip.
“No, Susan. He is my best friend and I can’t risk it. I don’t want to lose him.”
I had known Shawn since forever and I didn’t want to risk our friendship with telling him that I had feelings for him. I didn’t want to get rejected, so I just quietly locked everything inside me.
“It’s ridiculous. You’re not in a Nicolas Sparks movie, Jesus,” she rolled her eyes and walked away.
When I was able to quit staring at Shawn’s perfection I went back to his dressing room and called my mom to let her know I was still alive. She was very afraid to let me go on tour with Shawn, but it was summer time and she knew it was a great chance for me to see a lot of new places. But she still wanted me to call her every day.
“Yeah, okay mom,” I sighed when the door opened and Shawn walked in with a bottled water in his hands and smiled at me. “Shawn just walked into the room,” I commented.
“Hello!” he shouted into the phone.
“Say hi to him,” my mom answered.
“Okay. But I gotta go now. I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Alright, Honey. Have fun, love you!”
“Love you!” I said and then ended the call. “Hi,” I smiled at Shawn who was now looking at his own phone. I threw mine to the table and sat down.
“Hey. What’s up?” He smiled at me glancing up.
“Not much. Are we still going to have dinner with the crew later?”
“Yeah, as soon as we are done here we leave to the restaurant. Why?”
“Just asking,” I shrugged.
My phone started ringing on the table and as Shawn looked at it his expressions changed. I stood up and walked to the table grabbing the phone. My ex-boyfriend was calling me, but I had no idea why.
“I have to go,” Shawn said and before I could say anything he was out of the room. I sighed and answered the call.
It turned out that he just needed the phone number of one of our family friends who was a lawyer and he didn’t even tried that awkward “how are you, what have you been doing” talk, thankfully.
I watched the show from backstage and Shawn was just as amazing as always. I loved seeing him doing what he always wanted to do and his passion was the most precious thing in the world. When the show was over and we all packed our stuff we headed to the restaurant as we agreed on earlier, but something was wrong. Shawn seemed very into his thoughts and also a bit distant to me.
We sat next to each other at the table but he was talking to one of the dancer girls, so I also made myself busy with other people. But when my phone buzzed, and I got a message from one of my classmates who happened to be a boy he turned to me.
“Another guy, huh?” he asked. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him locking my phone without replying to the message.
He shook his head and shrugged as if he didn’t say anything, but then continued.
“Earlier your ex, now this guy. You are talking to a lot of boys.”
“What is this supposed to mean?” I asked definitely feeling hurt.
I stood up and grabbing his arm I dragged him with myself and headed out to the garden of the restaurant to have a few words with him.
“What’s the deal?” I asked as we found a quiet spot, far from everyone else. He obviously was avoiding to look at me and it just made me angrier.
“Nothing. I’m just saying what I see.”
“What you see? Shawn, what are you talking about?”
“You!” he snapped finally looking at me. “I’m talking about you and how you are being adored by all these guys and I just… I-I don’t…”
“You don’t what?” I asked with my heart beating crazily as I was waiting for him to finally speak his mind.
“I don’t want to see you with these guys!” he suddenly snapped. “I don’t want your ex talking to you, or your loser classmates messaging you, because I… I’m in love with you and I’m fucking jealous!”
Even though deep down I was feeling this coming when he started bitching, his sudden outburst surprised me. And made me feel happy.
“You are?” I asked quietly and couldn’t hold my smile back, but he didn’t see it, because he was avoiding to look at me again.
“Fuck, I didn’t mean to tell you this, I just couldn’t ho-“ I didn’t let him finish, because I crashed my lips to his.
He was definitely surprised, but as soon as he realized what was happening he kissed me back putting his arms around me. Neither of us wanted to pull away, but we eventually had to. He slowly leaned back and caressed my cheek.
“What was this?” he asked chuckling.
“It was my “shut up, I love you too” message, I hope you got it.”
“Oh, don’t worry, I definitely got it.”
We walked back to the table and he decided to hold my hand under the table. Even though it wasn’t quite obvious, Susan noticed it and winked at me. No need to mention that I was blushing. But at least I had my happy ending.
