It's actually super unethical to keep a peeve as a pet
Since itās pretty hard to find copies of Stone Butch Blues in the wild, I feel it is my duty to inform everyone that you can get the official pdf from Feinbergās own website per hir wishes. You could download it and print a copy off at the library if you like, which is honestly pretty punk and seems like the sort of thing Leslie would approve of.

this is a fantastic resource and Stone Butch Blues absolutely deserves to be read by as many queer people as possible, and i do wanna add this resource, as well: a doc containing trigger warnings chapter by chapter, page by page. this is a valuable resource as Feinberg's book is (understandably) pretty heavy with mentions/descriptions of rape, sexual assault, police violence, and other graphic depictions of many types of violence.
again, Stone Butch Blues is a very important, historical read for queers! but i also don't want any transmasc and/or lesbian readers to dive into this book without knowing what's within. and thank you so much to OP for reminding us of Feinberg's incredible novel that should be accessible to everyone!
the thing about nonfiction is you come out of it with several more books to put on your to be read list and it's only gonna branch out from there so really the only solution is to read every book in human history starting at the beginning

āI am often in pain and I fear that it will get worse. I need to sharpen every possible weapon against it, but even more so against the fear, or the fear of fear, which is what is so debilitating. And I want to learn how to do that while there is still time for learning in some state before desperation. Desperation. Reckless through despair.ā
