I don’t know why my heart is beating so loud or why every move you make makes my nerves start up again. I can’t figure why you do this to me, surely it’s nothing more than a friendship. But now you’re dragging me down the beach by my hand, laughing about some story your friend told you and all I can think about is never letting your hand go again. You look at me expectedly and then out to the water , I laugh, pulling myself out of my trance and managed to say “let’s go”. All I can see now is you running down the beach, and my legs somehow have the strength to follow after you. The water that meets my legs is cold, I know that, but it’s almost as though I can’t feel it, all I can feel is your arm wrapped tightly around me. My mind is racing and my heart is screaming. When you lean in, your lips only inches from my face, the sound of waves and wind pulling at my hair all fade away. You light a fire that could shine across the ocean, and I know now, that I am truly in love with you.
