rosestarkiller is cute, until you realize that Barty loses the two love of his life and ends up alone, while Evan experiences his first heart break when Regulus dies, and Regulus dies with the guilt of leaving evan and barty without an explanation but with the memory of their final moments together.

and while Evan and Regulus reunite in the afterlife, they both have to watch as Barty will never join them. a very tragic love story.

I feel like shipping evan, regulus and barty together is the downfall to my sadness today 🥹 now i feel like writing a one shot leading up to barty death.. no, no..

and that brings me to that Francesca by Hozier is Bartylus.

1.

Regulus showing his mark to Barty believing that this might push the boy away. Even if they both knew this was coming, their unwritten faith. But Barty already knowing darkness in his life, this was nothing compared to the terrors he lives with his father already.

2)

From the beginning both boys knew that there was a possibility of dying. Each night they cling onto each other hoping that will not be the case today. In a way they both knew that tragedy was written in their life line, and that they both don't see the end of this War. It was proven once Regulus died.

3)

Regulus watching as Barty body is stripped away from the soul that he tried to cling on to until the end and how Barty finally thought was that he was finally going to see Regulus again. But neither boys souls connected ever again.

But if given the chance. They would do it all over again to be able to feel each other again.

Regulus waited almost two decade to be finally reunited with the love of his life (Barty) in the afterlife, just for them to never meet again.

Even if they did meet again, would Regulus like what Barty became? He lost every piece of himself, he isn’t even close to the same person anymore.

Regulus, would have still love Barty but he wouldn't have like him. But also I feel like Regulus always watched over Barty, and saw how each piece of his humanity was stripped away from him when he was under the imperious curse by his father. He saw how soon enough the 19 year old man, had no sanity left inside of him.

For someone that was stuck in his own hell since his death. I feel like he would be understanding and try to find the "good" in Barty if they met again. Also, I feel Regulus had a sense of guilt for how Barty ended up. He knew the boy had a kind heart but the monsters around him, broke him down.

In the end: they’re a big tragedy.

Both of them would be haunted and if they did get back together (even as friends), it would never be the same again.

Barty decided to get all of his O.W.L.'s because he thought that maybe that would be his out, his escape from his father. In the end, plan A was a fail, what everyone else didn't know, was that plan B was always going to be the Dark Lord.

And what people didn't know either, was that plan B failed too. After being trapped via Imperius for years upon years, Barty figured out that death was really the only way out. And maybe that was why he was suddenly being less careful with how he handled being a teacher at Hogwarts, even though he had always dreamed of teaching. Maybe he knew that this would be his way out.

In the end, Plan C was the only one that worked.
