Yesterday I just came back home after amazing 5 weeks in Italy. It was a time you describe later as one of the best experiences you could make. I went there for language school. There I met amazing people that became great friends. Now I know people from all over the world. Three of them are really special. A Colombian woman, Catalina, that moved to Genoa with her husband. She has so much knowledge of different things and always knows to smile and make people happy. She showed me great places in Genoa and taught me some useful things. Then there was the shy Japanese woman, Yuri, that could drink more beer than me and I’m German :D She was always kind and polite and was a wonderful city guide. Thanks to her I know now how real Japanese sushi has to taste. And last but not least we have the Brazilian man, Paulo. He was a born stand-up comedian. Always happy and courteous. Except the few lessons in school when we both almost fell asleep :D Funniest thing was how he used his hands and everything to say something when he didn’t know the words in Italian.
Of course there were also many others I shared some evenings with or had a good chat. I got to know many things about different countries I never knew before.
I will miss them all a lot and hope to see them one day again. Even tho I didn’t like Genoa that much the people helped me to make it the best decision I could make. I think it changed me a bit and how I see the world.
