Whatever this is feels different. Different from the other. He thought of the other as something almost like a god. This one felt like a god too just a different breed of deity.

Gently, or at least as gently as he knew how with his new abilities he reached out to talk to this titan. <<Who are you?>>

The giant misshapen abomination turned his attention toward the neglected son. He sensed resentment and pain within him, torn from a past of being ignored by his old man to pursue a deity-like figure. This human somehow survived exposure to closing circuitry of fright and now, consciousness is his only friend. A question resides in Shin; Does he suffer from this consciousness that resides in him?

Shin’s head shook from this thought to answer the boy’s question in his pained breath.

“I was once a creature that came from a time where the folly of man had not existed. I’ve spent my life in the darkness of the ocean in peace. Now, I have become a result of mankind’s tampering with nature. A monster who is forced to live the rest of his life in eternal pain and agony while bearing another creature’s appearance. A tragedy who will not be known by them.”

And, as of recently, I silently watched him make landfall onto an area I was not able to classify… and burned it all alight without any second thoughts… I know it may not make any sense, but I feel like there is an unseen force provoking him that I’m not seeing here… Something that is slowly contradicting everything I knew about him and his vows. A looming confrontation, I foresee… that is set to revive an ancient war from the very far past.”

{{My, my, that is indeed worrying.}} Mothra clicked her mandibles in thought. It was possible her Beloved Sea was following the influence of someone or something else, but her concern only pertained to whether the source of such influence was selfish in nature. After all, Godzilla was more than just an inhabitant of this planet, but a protector of its Balance. If this was the beginning of the end of an age, if his course was merely to facilitate the passing of one chapter, she’d have no reason to intervene.

“If I remember right, it was at an undisclosed area located within the coast of Skull Island, although “undiscovered” is a word I can not describe anymore... And what I can recall hearing besides the flames... was the short screams of pain and agony.”

Shin shudders for a moment upon mentioning hearing those cries. Never had the abomination admitted that he ever pitied the humans, as they were the ones that brought him into this wretched existence. But to be betrayed by the god they gave their lives to persevere coexistence? The treachery of this caliber is never bliss. Turning his direction towards the ocean, the silent Shin lumbered forward. His footsteps mimicked the sounds of dropped bombs, growing quieter as he entered the great ocean, his tail flinging into the sky for a few moments before it was submerged too. There, Shin would be Mosura’s quiet guide to the island. But because he isn’t as swift because of his downing weight, he tells her in case,

“If you do get there first before me, let this be the first thing in mind: When there’s smoke, there’s fire...”
