If you think about it Snively still works in modern mainline compared to the Freedom Fighters without need of reconstruction because almost everything about him survives regardless of setting because of Eggman. As long as Eggman exists, Snively has a reason to exist.

Adapting the Freedom Fighters can work they can be natural into sonic anytime but they have to face larger changes because their existence depends on the world building which has been inconsistent since.

IF I SAY THAT SNIVELY IS MORE COMPATIBLE WITH PRESENT DAY EGGMAN CHARACTERIZATION

Eggman is implied to be neglected as a kid and admired Gerald only to find out his noble hero was as horrible as him

And whaddya know someone predates that with Snively being neglected and abused that he's left to admiring his uncle only for that uncle to be monstrous, and manipulative and abusive towards him while also being as bad as him. That generational trauma is doomed to repeat

And yknow what's better is that the introduction of Eggman being envious of Maria despite of her being already being dead

and imagine that would repeat Snively also getting envious of his artificial cousin who was like created in matter of days and shows him that Eggman can actually care for someone this whole time

The thing about that they're not relatives anymore in post reboot archie because if they still remain relatives and that Snively isn't character dead from Canon there'd be emotional weight to their dynamic now

Bruh I’ve been saying this with my full chest— you know how juicy it is having that sort of codependency between the two of them?? I want Eggman to feel a kinship but also reject him because being connected to people is stoooopid in his old man brain

Like the first real life human he’s interacted with long term in his 50+ years of tyranny and it’s the sad, pathetic kinda-sorta-nephew guy

Sorry I couldn't make Shadamy week this year! In return hope you accept some more Epic AU shadamy!

First one was commissioned by TheStarHashira on twt. Of Aphrodite first emerging from seafoam in her clamshell to an awestruck Ares.

Some added fun details to their designs. Shadows-Ares'helmet (Greek style hedgehog helmets are a headache i stg) and the flicky-looking doves that follow Aphrodite around and flutter around the object of her affection.

Last one was draw around the time of the Princess X Knight meme and was my first reveal of Rotor as Hephaestus.

For what its worth, he tries to shower Aphrodite in gifts. While she rejects most of them- she does make use of one particular Hammer he made.
