Jiang Suizhou is a young historian that stays late in the archives for his research and suddenly meets his favourite historical general, Huo Wujiu, that came to life with other exhibits.

aka Jiang Suizhou can learn all he wants about Huo Wujiu without the threat of dying by his hands. Huo Wujiu isn’t sure what is happening but this strange modern person is kinda adorable when excited, so he talks with him every night of Jiang Suizhou’s scholarship.

ADGWBMC CN SHIP NAME (CP)

I just found out from Weibo that for ship Huo Wujiu × Jiang Suizhou, we have a ship name for it ( v^-゜)♪ it's called [ 舟行无咎 ].

This choice for the CP name is interesting, because besides the character (hanzi) taken from each person's name, it's also explain the characters journey & dynamic.

Ok so for character Zhou [舟], it's taken from JSZ's name [江随舟] which means 'Boat' . While Wujiu [无咎] taken from HWJ's name [霍无咎] which means 'No Blame/ No Disaster'.

You may be wonder where did xíng [行] come from. After quick search, it's added to make the sentence more poetic and meaningful. Like, if it's just '舟无咎' it will sounds like broken / uncomplete sentence. Turns out it's a common practice to add connecting word. Xíng [行] in here means 'Travel / Move'. So if we combine all of those we will have something like 'As the boat travels, there is no disaster'.

Ofcourse, there are alternatives too. Fans also often directly use their name , like '随舟无咎' / "suí zhōu wú jiù" or 霍无咎江随 舟 / "huò wú jiù jiāngsuízhōu". But isn't 舟行无咎 is more poetic ? Hhhhhh. This CP name also mentioned in the Super Topic as official designated name for the ship name . So might as well use it (*ﾉ▽ﾉ*)

The thing about LiuShen is that even if Luo Binghe wasn’t around, I honestly believe neither Liu Qingge nor Shen Qingqiu would act on their feelings unless forced by outside circumstances. Jury’s out on if they’re even aware of their feelings.

Like, Shen Qingqiu is obviously attracted to Liu Qingge and cares about him deeply in canon but he’s got his whole…thing. Where he had to be basically forced into a relationship with the love of his life because he would never have gotten there on his own. So obviously if we’re in an AU where Luo Binghe isn’t trying to sheepdog herd Shen Qingqiu away from Liu Qingge, Shen Qingqiu still isn’t going to figure anything out on his own.

And then there’s Liu Qingge, who you would think is fully aware of his feelings and action-oriented enough to bluntly act on them without beating around the bush. Except based on the succubus extra, I’m not convinced that he actually knows he’s in love? At least not consciously? Liu Qingge definitely isn’t the type to take time to introspect about his emotions on a regular basis…or ever…and he starts out the whole fortune telling bit extremely blasé. Like he really doesn’t think it has anything to do with him. It’s only when it starts being plausibly about him that he starts getting openly invested. And then he gets pissed when Madam Meiyin says the bit about Shen Qingqiu’s fated one being deeply in love with him, which could be him deflecting, but could also be read as a “wait what?” moment that’s immediately shut down by Madam Meiyin telling him he’s not Shen Qingqiu’s fated person at all.

So in theory Liu Qingge could look back on that and realize that oh, he was happy to be Shen Qingqiu’s soulmate, he is deeply in love with him, etc etc. But. Is Liu Qingge really going to be sitting around analyzing his emotions. Is he really going to do more than going huh that was weird and felt bad oh well guess we’ll never know what that was about, time to go back to chasing after Shen Qingqiu with the thinnest excuses possible and never considering what that means.

Anyway all that to say that we should really be putting LiuShen into more Situations together. For their emotional health.
