AOT modern headcanons

⟡ Hange would have a jumping spider. In fact she would also has reptiles and maybe even an instagram account showing people her exotic animals (and it would be very popular). ⟡ Armin does Wordle and Connections every single day and it genuinely ruins his day if his streak is ruined. ⟡ Connie uses slang a lot, sometimes incorrectly, but it doesn't bother him at all. He is also chronically online and streams on twitch how he plays horror video games, but is not very successful (for now... keep reading). ⟡ Erwin would always put on glasses before seeing anything on the screen. He is also leaning into the computer or he'll put the phone a little away to see better. I know you know what I mean ⟡ Reiner would have a phase of listening to Huberman for personal growth, especially during lifting in the gym. Of course he is a gym rat. ⟡ Jean would follow some feminist literature bookclubs to impress a lady, but even after that didn't work out, he found himself genuinely enjoying the books and is later educating other guys on the societal issues and gender inequality (his favourite book is "Invisible Women" by Caroline Criado Perez because he is a man of culture - he is in fact still very emotional about the fact seatbelts weren't made with women in mind and because of that they get worse injuries during car crashes, he was shocked to discover that.) ⟡ Levi would NEVER admit that, but IF he uses tiktok or instagram, he watches videos of pressure cleaning of carpets. Also succulent cleaning asmr. ⟡ We all know Sasha would totally have a food blog or a mukbang youtube channel, but i strongly believe Connie would invite her on his twitch stream to play horror video games and that would also be a big hit - her reactions are so hilarious Connie and Sasha start a Play, Scream & Eat channel where they eat insane amount of food and get jumpscared. ⟡ Annie would work part time as a stunt double in action movies. She'd be very nonchalant about it.

operating on book canon a little bit: if grace couldn't do it-- if he said no*-- the alternative was to scramble and fly in the next most qualified volunteer, who had 0 training, 0 knowledge of astrophage, and was not an astronaut. three hours could have been three hours of training for that replacement. three hours could have been three hours of preparation for grace, if he said yes

eva stratt gave grace three hours. not to decide, necessarily, because the decision was going to be made the way it was no matter what. but three hours to come to terms with it, to grieve, to mentally prepare himself. three hours that could have been spent giving humanity a better chance to survive

she borrowed three hours that she didn't have to give grace space to process. to get himself together and come to her, teary-eyed but resolved, and say yes.
