So apparently there is a hack to figuring out the subway system. It’s called doubling your morning caffeine intake, I’ve never felt more focused and energized at the same time.

Gotta love when you get paid the exact miserable amount that the front-of-house staff gets for working your ass off in a hot kitchen with no breaks all day because they’ve decided to completely change the menu and add new complicated options that don’t sell any better than the previous stuff, while they stand around and do basically nothing because there’s far too many of them for what they’ve got to do. #kitchenlife

Well cats are very difficult to understand. I’m sure some cats love it but I’ve never tried it with mine. I do believe that cats really love affection from their humans sometimes. Did you know that cats developed the “meow” especially for humans? They learned it from human babies and realized that if the baby cried they got food and love, so cats copied that behavior. They use the basic “meow” only for humans as well, the other sounds that look like a meow or a pur are code-language for the other cats.

Since its officially August, I can now bust out my Halloween decorations and pull out all of the Halloween movies I have. Yes, I do realize that Im jumping the gun two months early, but think about it. It’d be better to be early than scrambling around to get things done and its not Christmas decorations. So there’s that, but I am not excited to be decorting the store and everything that comes with Halloween. Can someone tell me why I decided to work at a bookstore and not a movie theatre?

I was never a big fan of Halloween to be honest - like I love Christmas more I guess. If you need any help with decorating I would love to help you.

Damn was I MIA for awhile. But it’s a funny story. So, okay, I went with some friends to go see Frozen - which is usually a sign I need better friends, but we played a drinking game to it. And holy shit, was that game intense. I don’t even remember the second half, and then my one friend and I woke up and we were on a bus to DC so we just decided, fuck it, and stayed there five days. The Smithsonian Zoo was legit.

I know the struggle, but I mostly buy things for my cats.

That was an awesome party wasn’t it? It is seriously such a pleasure to get to spend time with all of your lovely faces.

It is pretty funny watching the things everyone gets into, that’s for sure. You got it! I’m not a big fan of wine; I guess I’m still too young to appreciate it, but all the times I’ve tried it it just hits me in a strange way, y’know? Like I never know how to differentiate between a cabernet & a pinot noir.
