“Please,” he forced the word through his clenched jaw. “Go inside.”  Like it cost him something to say.  Kate did not move.  She should have argued.  Should have said something—anything.  But the exhaustion—the constant restraint, the expectations, the careful performance for a society that had already judged her—pressed down all at once.  “Go inside.”   Or A canon divergence set during S2E7 where Anthony tells Kate to go inside—and Kate listens.

A short story was not on my "end of summer" bingo card, but here we are.

Thank you to @fitraghgolden for this prompt that has just not left me alone for the last month.

And to @bees-bangles-banter who read this story, asked me for 25 chapters, and when I told her she was getting 4 came back with, "Fine. But I'm making you a moodboard." 🩵

Watching highlights of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Pre Regatta from May and immediately clocked this would be such a great AU for Kanthony - high stakes, adrenaline fuelled, expensive, lots of pressure and absolute team work. I can see them be forced to team up and work together starting as absolute enemies with a lot of conflict (and sexual tension) and then slowly turning to respect and admiration and finally as THE team to beat…after they get together!

Inspired by a dream I had: Kate and Anthony are about to hook up for the first time, but get cockblocked by seemingly every member of his family choosing that night to show up unannounced. Anthony tries to get rid of them, but finally Kate calls it and says it's just not that happening that night.

Later, he slips her a hotel key and says there's no expectation, if she doesn't want to come, then he'll understand. But if she does want to come, he'd love to try again. Of course, Kate takes him up on the offer (in every way).

For the angst lovers: Kate and Anthony break up over his fear of falling in love/inability to commit. Kate has a brief rebound fling, and shortly afterward, Anthony realizes his mistake and wins Kate back. But while they start a real relationship, Kate finds out she's pregnant and it's not Anthony's. They have to balance a baby so early in getting together, whether Anthony wants to raise a child that isn't his, and the biological father wanting to be involved.

I did my best with this one. It was an absolutely gorgeous prompt—thank you to @cranbourn2024 for sharing 🩵. Title: When We Run, We Run Together Summary:

“You shake your head like you’re trying to clear it. Like how you erase an Etch A Sketch. As if the feeling will disappear if you jostle it hard enough.” Kate has always had a habit of shaking her head when she’s trying not to feel something she shouldn’t want. Anthony has always noticed.

Try listening to the S2 Kanthony cut without the visual. It is totally 🤯🤯🤯. You end up hearing things you hadn’t picked up before between the two.

You’ll hear yearning, desire, hurt, fear and ultimately their love. It’s so heightened when only focusing on Jonathan and Simone’s voices - they are so freaking good at it.

I hope this’ll inspire and prompt someone to write another Kanthony fic.

Kate and Anthony are absolute rivals in their field (law or politics etc) and “hate” each other so much that they try and one up one another all the time.

It gets dark when one of their family members gets involved in a case or elections or something and they are opposing each other.

Can you imagine that same mean delivery by Anthony to Kate? First off she would not back down but secondly her panties would be drenched! Because yes girl we agree!
