Leon's ring but Serrennedy

So since everyone and their dog is talking about Leon's ring in Requiem and I am sadly a delusional Resident Evil fan whose favourite character is dead (Luis), and am also very normal about Serrennedy, here's a short string of dialogue I wrote for when my brain decides it's capable of either turning it into a full oneshot or a comic.

--While trapped in the dark ruins of Pandora--

Grace: Hey, Leon? Can I ask you something?

Leon: Sure, not like we have anything better to do.

Grace: So I noticed you have a-uh...

Leon: Have what?

Grace: That ring? The one on your finger-I saw it earlier.

Grace: Are you..?

Leon: Married?

Leon: No, nothing like that.

Grace: Oh?

Leon: It's a memento ...from an old friend.

Grace: Could you tell me about it? If you don't mind.

Leon: Not much to say really.

Leon: It was during a mission in Europe. I met this guy. A former Umbrella researcher.

Grace: Umbrella!?

Leon: Yeah, didn't trust him at all at first.

Leon: And yet without him, I wouldn't be alive right now.

Grace: Is he..?

Leon: He saved me, and I couldn't save him. It's one of my many regrets in life.

Grace: So you wear it out of guilt? Or just to remember him by?

Leon: ...Both probably.

Leon: He wanted to change, right his wrongs.

Leon: I can't turn back time, but at least I can keep some part of him alive. Help him make that change.
