I once saw something about Will and Nico where it was written that one of them couldn't stop crying for his lost sister, and one of them couldn't cry for his lost brothers. That was the difference between them.

Imagine HC that Will doesn't like Percy at first after he found out that he was the one who destroyed the bridge in Manhattan. Will had to look for Lee and his brothers who had died in the rubble, but Percy took him with him to save Annabeth. Because of that, he had to drop everything and do what Percy told him, and Will thought of him very selfishly because Percy cared about Annabeth more than his brothers. You can't blame him, but Will wanted to help his brothers, he lost them and he couldn't even help look for them.
