how do you think nico’s and will’s voices sound like?
will has a drawling southern accent he Tried to train himself out of. but he spent the first five years of his life in the Tiniest texan town in the world where it was THICK. and the next three years in the back of a tour van with a bunch of other texans. literally no other examples. and then he went to camp where he was teased to shit for it but couldnt kick it for the life of him. lessened sure. but its there. especially if he's ranting (he is ranting a lot)
nico has....the weirdest accent of all time. he fully lived in venice for ten years of his life. spoke italian. had the accent. but he also had an ambassador nonno who had Money and tutors. he learned english young and easily. then spent 70 years in a hotel with ALL sorts of folks....nico is something of a mimicker and learned a bunch of ways to talk. and then he was on the streets of new york for a couple years. he says every word in a slightly different accent it's bonkers
outside of accents -- will has a lower voice, but not crazy deep. smooth, and rumbly when he laughs. always a little flat when he sings but you can hear the laughter in it.
nico has a raspier voice. never fully recovered from the pit, and smoked when he was ten lol. its not low like will's, though. little higher. contralto. cracks all the time which he hates but will is endlessly endeared by
I once saw something about Will and Nico where it was written that one of them couldn't stop crying for his lost sister, and one of them couldn't cry for his lost brothers. That was the difference between them.
Imagine HC that Will doesn't like Percy at first after he found out that he was the one who destroyed the bridge in Manhattan. Will had to look for Lee and his brothers who had died in the rubble, but Percy took him with him to save Annabeth. Because of that, he had to drop everything and do what Percy told him, and Will thought of him very selfishly because Percy cared about Annabeth more than his brothers. You can't blame him, but Will wanted to help his brothers, he lost them and he couldn't even help look for them.
drive — how high is their sex drive? are they hyposexual, hypersexual, or somewhere in between? does it change depending on the circumstance? how often do they have sex?
I wouldn't describe Folio as hypersexual, but he does have a pretty high sex drive. He seems like the type of guy who is as sweet as can be but is always kind of worked up in some way. He doesn't need sex, of course, whether that be in general or with a partner/in a relationship; he just really, really likes it. (Besides, he's a big boy. If he's too worked up, he can take care of himself. He's the last person to pressure someone into sex regardless of how horny he is.)
Tours are exceptionally difficult in this regard because Folio doesn't have a lot of alone time or private space. He gets pent up pretty quickly and maybe asks his bandmate(s) for help with that. I don't think he's the type of person to do casual hookups, so how often he has sex definitely depends on the circumstances. Regardless, at any given moment, he's probably at least a little horny.
dynamic — are they dominant? do they like to be dominated? how do they show their dominance? how do they show their partner(s) they want to be dominated? are they more versatile or does it depend on the context/their partner(s)?
Will: I'd say Will is solidly a switch. He likes physical displays of dominance, whether that be giving or receiving -- grasping someone's chin in his hand, someone snagging him by his curls or placing a hand on the back of his neck, fingers in belt loops or tucked into pants pockets. When he really wants someone to take control and help him shut his brain off, I think he probably either gets really annoying or really pathetic about it. Sorry, Will.
Folio: This is an interesting one. Though Folio will often delight in the more "masculine" tasks of a relationship (regardless of his partner's gender) -- like paying for meals, wrapping his arm around their shoulders, etc. -- he both knows that the gendered part of it is kind of bullshit and, also, it doesn't mean he's dominant. Because he's not. He can go feral in bed, of course, but his partner also knows how to make him heel. He likes acts of dominance that involve hands: spank him, choke him, tug him around by his chain. He could probably be dominant if his partner wanted him to, but he'd be far from stern with it. There would be lots of giggling involved.
Jolly: Jolly definitely reads as the type who likes to take on a dominant role. I'm sure he's tried submitting before, but it's not something he particularly enjoys. His displays of dominance are a lot more psychological and intangible: he (with consent) picks outfits for his partner, gives them tasks and assignments, sets and enforces rules. He likes someone showing him their submission in ways outside of the bedroom. That doesn't mean he won't manhandle someone if he has to, but he'd much rather make them obey with his words alone.
Matt: I don't write a lot of Matt, so I don't have a distinct "voice" for him in my head. He's definitely more dominant, I think, and he likes to really show that off in the things he makes his partner do. He likes degrading his partner, so he'll have them do stupid or embarrassing things just because. He would probably enjoy submitting on occasion, but he'd fight it the whole way down. Someone's gonna need a degree or at least a minor in brat taming to get this man to submit, even if he wants it.
Nicholas: He seems to lean toward dominant but sits somewhere in that middle ground. He is comfortable in either role. In terms of showing dominance, he's subtle about it: little touches, remarks whispered in ears. He likes edging, orgasm denial, teasing -- if he's your dom, you're going to be wound up constantly, but you need to be on your best behavior regardless. When he wants to be the one submitting, he's pretty straightforward about asking for it. He does it real sweet, too, blushing a little and looking all shy about it.
Noah: I think Noah's a switch, but I really prefer subby!Noah, to be so honest with everyone at the function. He likes demonstrating his own dominance in more verbal and psychological ways, I think. He likes people who dominate him to create visual representations of the power dynamic (he likes getting on his knees is what i'm saying; make this man kneel). He is the type to be an absolute brat when he wants someone to dominate him. He will provoke someone into teaching him a lesson, but he's not actually learning anything, really, except how he can get what he wants.
My boy Will would be pretty good at school, he’ll do well, but of course that the subjects he would like the most are the ones related to art, or when he had to make projects
Science would be the kind of subject he’d like, specially because of the projects he could make, where he would need to create a visual representation of the solar system, for example
He likes space, the stars and the planets, it fascinates him
I think he would be quite good at math but being just uninterested at it
Very crafty
Commited™ to all the projects he would have to do for school, so much so that the Byers family would be involved, he’d be directing and giving instructions to Joyce and Jonathan, where to use the hot glue gun, how much blue paint is needed to paint this one bit of the project.
Initially very very shy; so team assignments were not something he liked very much, only if it was with Mike, Dustin and/or Lucas
I will do another one on his friendship with the party bc I have Ideas
Incoming HC ask for Will if that's okay! As a type specialist, how do you feel about people who actively choose to not specialize in a particular type (think like Red/Blue/Green, Cynthia, etc.)? Have you ever considered about expanding from your type specialty before? If so, what made you choose not to pursue that?
"To be honest, choosing not to specialize in one type is a wise move in some respects. When you have a type specialty, it is easier to exploit the common type weaknesses your team has, namely because all, or nearly all of your team share them. If you diversify, you eliminate this problem to a degree, and it leaves you guessing what is to come next.
It's also challenging in that you need to know about many types in order to better care for, and raise your team. I applaud those who do this.
As for expanding from my type, I have already done this to an extent. There is a reason I prefer having all dual types over purely psychic types; a lot of the dual types I use are rarely used by others, and it adds more variety and more of a challenge. Not only do you have to content with the power of psychic types, you also need to take into account the secondary typing. This is not unlike battling a trainer who doesn't specialize in one particular type.
Outside of that, I have no plans to completely remove myself from training and raising psychic type pokemon. As a human with psychic powers of my own, there is a special bond and connection I have with my pokemon that I can't cultivate and replicate with others outside of my type. It is, if I may be so bold to say as such, a natural fit to be paired with a type that I have much in common with. It takes a psychic to understand a psychic; it is hard for anyone who is not to understand those of us who are, for we do not share the same experiences and struggles, or powers and abilities. This is true for me, at least, and why I can never fully stray from my chosen typing."
